Yo! I was looking around and couldn’t find a thread on this topic, so I thought I’d make one! I’m really excited to hear what ideas for gimmicks on bey drivers, tips, forgedisks etc. you guys have. Some that I have imagined include a unite like driver except the center part is metal and a defense layer which makes use of upwards sloping POM deflective blades. I know these ideas are pretty generic ideas, so feel free to come up with more creative ones!
Beyblade Gimmick Ideas
A layer where it clicks enough times that hidden blades pop out for extra damage. I'm not sure if layer like that exists though.
I have a custom Unite Driver with the center part being Metal on my Quasar Galahad since October of 2018. It's Unite Metal (previously Ultimate Unite). It was on the Quasar Galahad Estrella Unite Metal which I have even shown to the TT beyblade devolopement team and Hiro Morita alongside my OC Garrett Rossgard. Flare was made and Gwyn is extremely similar to the OC that I gave to Hiro Morita in person. This might just be a crazy coincidence tho. Also we haven't seen anything similar to a Round Rubber Disk like Estrella or something like a Unite Metal driver yet. But it would be cool if they make those parts.

That would be beat kukulcan
Oof. Totally forgot about bK.
Well since Sparking is on the way, how about a layer that literally sparks when in contact. It's probably better than a beyblade made out of gunpowder since it won't explode right in front of your face.
I thought a bout this too!
A layer that whistles when it spins. No tactical advantage but would be super cool to have lol

When learning about the infinite lock beys, I had imagined a driver that could sort of self-wind as they bey took hits. It would work similarly to the old plastic generation engine gears. Once it reached a certain level of torque, it would release, and gain some spin or move in a different pattern.
Metal bearing dash on a fully circular wall with a GT chaos
Any thoughts?

It would be insane if they brought back magnets.
I was thinking about a forge disc that had a barrier around the layer. Not like Paradox, but a metal disc and it has barrier protrusions that cover most of the layer's height. This would be cool because it would somewhat emulate metal fight battles but at the same time make the layer useless. It also depends on the thickness of the barrier as well. We can't have it be a basalt disc lol
A good gimmick would be a kind of RPG like customization; Headgear, armor, legs 'n boots main weapon and a secundary weapon.
How about an electric driver that increases in speed the closer it is to bursting? Though I'm not sure how it'd be programmed to detect when it's fully locked for different sets of teeth.

Yeah near the end it can try to win with a spin finish or recover after a hit drains it's stamina away. The tradeoff would be that if the opponent's bey can still deal strong hits it's more vulnerable to bursting with the faster rotation, or something like that.

But, it would be OP if it was on a layer with strong teeth. Maybe it would have a weak spring.

Oh defenitely this wouldn't be on a dash driver lol. It'd would also defeat the point of having the bey lose clicks in order to increase the speed as well.
I've been thinking of this for a while, a Layer Base called Ejection that combines the gimmicks of Bullet, Maximum Garuda, Trypio, and an Engine Gear. The Layer Base has a slot underneath the GT Chip which you insert a special tool and wind it up. During battle, when the Beyblade gets to 3 clicks, the base splits itself in half, with the top half (the half with the GT Chip) being launched up in the air via a sping-loaded launcher built into the Layer, while the bottom half (still connected to the Disk and Driver) is still spinning in the beystadium. The top half would have a Trypio-like apperance, so when it is launched into the air, it flies for a short amount of time before coming back into the beystadium. It kind of acts like a last-resort gimmick.
12 beyblade. No explanations needed.
(basically the layer breaks layers, the 12 disc, and the driver has protrusions that can break layers. You can basically make a dark gasher out of it lol)

I really want to see a Driver that's a combination between Quest and Unite. The main body would be like Quest and the tip would be a Coated Sharp like Unite, so it would be a recreation of F230CS but with a Bearing to make it even better. I think the height of the Driver would make it hard for it to be too OP, but it would most likely be a decent Tornado Staller with above-average KO Defense when worn.
When ignition came out i had to have it because i had always thought it would be cool to have a driver or beyblade that could change spin mid battle. But what if there was a layer eg spriggan that could spin both directions but mid battle!

You’re asking for a bey that breaks the laws of physics by shifting spin rotation mid battle?

Yes
