I actually really did like this episode, for a few reasons:

- Seeing that Lui showed some respect to people who were persistent, like Hyuga climbing a cliff just to battle Lui. When Hyuga fell, Lui saved him, and used his scarf like a rope, it's awesome, kinda funny and I do like that it shows Lui develop into a somewhat nicer guy.

- Lane/Lean's voice and personality was nothing that I expected. I thought he'd just be a Lui clone but he's not from what I can tell. He acts more angry, sort of like Delta, and his voice is like Xhan or a higher pitched Shu. He kinda feels like Tala, not sure why.

- Lui's battle against Hyuga is cool! Too bad it got distracted or else Hyuga would've at least drew against Lui. Also, Lucifer creates an impact so massive it hits the skies... well... damn... now we went Metal Fight Beyblade territory for sure now huh...

- And Shu's reveal is awesome!

Episode review

Darn it i was hoping for an Amazing animation but instead we only got that in the first few moments and the last moment the rest was eh not to good the movement are sloppy and there were no dynamic shot But at least the character model in this episode is good

So now hyuga can stop a rain.... idk man but at least the battle held up right? For me personally is average

the character moments for lane and shu (hyuga and lui was also col)was cool and there you have it shu returns (meaning spriggan will release after Lucifer) oh yeah is it just me or shu doing that thing with his hair is just funny to look cuz it was so random so with that said i don't have any other to say

Final verdict

Does this held up to the hype? I'd say no because the preview fooled me and the animation and the absent of dynamic shoot just ruined the hype behind it at least for me but if you a shu fan you'll rewatch this over and over again

-Lane backstory reveal
-Shu mentoring the two brothers
-the battle only begins is the second half

One thing that's pretty cool about today's episode is that we got to see Variant Lucifer's Mobius Driver from a bottom angle and whilst it doesn't show it at a tilted angle, it does reveal that the bottom of the Driver is very flat.

Lane/Lean does make a good presence so far. Whilst I'll admit that I have gotten a little tired of hearing about him, he's pretty cool here so far and has a cool voice. The fact that he carries a pet hedgehog around with him makes him stand out a bit more, which is a bonus too.

I really have to say that overall I'm really liking sparking and watching these episodes give me S1/S2 vibes overall, I'm very curious to see how the next episodes (aside from the ones we already know) will develop!

Totally agree, it makes him seem very humane and kinda removes the evil vibe.

I had no idea that Shu was gonna appear this episode lol. The reveal was perfect, love that they didn't spoil it in the previews.

Lane's character is a lot more.. softer than I expected. Definitely a nice surprise and really interested in seeing what are they going to do with him. Also his barrier looks seriously good.

excited shu is back, I’m guessing he’ll come after hyuga and Hikaru vs lane ( I refuse to call him wean) in the manga. Nice episode, but one big problem........anime is going to fast. This has a manga, that should reveal things first.

well tbh the anime has only 26 effective episodes so the pacing is bound to a bit screwed
