Another problem could be that if you decide to customise a layer, what if you make something like... gF, Gran Fafnir, that would be confusing with Geist Fafnir. However, my point might be moot since you do need to put the character of the layer weight right after as well, but it's worth pointing out.

That's why both letters are capitalized. It's like Sr and sR, but instead it's gF and GF. If people can figure out the former, they should have no issue with the latter.

Kind of off-topic, but his Bey might be RBV 15's Bushin Dragon 7 Friction, judging by Delta's clothes and hair color being similar to BD.7.Fr

I doubt it. He seems like a major character, especially since he takes a decent chunk of the poster and they wouldn't just give him a random bey with no new parts. It'll probably be Dragon chip, but everything else is new.

The bases are actually abbreviated with uppercase letters and the weights are listed after the driver in the combo. For example, Ace Dragon would be abbreviated as: AD.St.Ch Zan

This, and also if a significant character was gonna have a bey released in a random booster it'd probably be marked as a prize. To this note, the only prizes of RBV15 are Cosmo Valkyrie and Storm Pegasus, which means Bushin Dragon is probably not anything of note.

That was back when the Layers are all one piece. The Layers now have multiple pieces meaning that there will be confusion in the abbreviations for certain combos.

Not a bad theory, actually. Lowercase delta actually looks like a lowercase d, and TT hasn't done a Bey with that Greek letter yet.

Very true. In fact they can differentiate chip letters with lower case for some and higher case for others. All they have to do is avoid "r" so there's no "Sr", with layer weights character but still.

They’re trying to make the game more fun by adding more bursts, which is what this gen of beyblade is all about. They are responding to people disliking late cho-z for not having enough bursts.

Well, GT is also supposed to be based more on customization, so individual performance isn't made to matter as much.

Also keep in mind that the first few beys of a new series are just generally weaker, especially in stock. God Valkyrie and Kreis Satan weren't all that good either, and neither was Z Achilles. It's way too early to say this line can't compete.

Well beys who come out with a special launcher tend to have a very competitive layer and disc, and a crappy driver. Also, Emporer Forneus was also very tough.

I wouldn’t say crappy, and this is not really a scheme. Revive Phoenix came with Friction, which is actually not that bad, Legend Spriggan came with Merge, which isn’t horrible for attack, Spriggan Requiem came with Zeta, which isn’t the worst, and Dragon has the heaviest driver, Charge.

I honestly think the launcher is there to justify the price of increasing its cost by so much just for two more bases.
