Beyblade Burst GT (Gachi)

This just showed up for Ace Dragon! This video is the real deal this time since the YouTuber gets Beyblades early. Enjoy everyone!

Best main characters bey yet in my opinion... What valkyrie ???
Is anybody else getting serious MFB vibes from the Gachi system? The bases like Rock, Ace, and Gran remind me of metal wheels, and the Gantinko chips like Dragon and Valkyrie remind me of the Clear Wheels.
So it looks like teeth are going to be very special this time around.

Valkyrie has two monster teeth
Ashura has seven small teeth aparently
Dragon has four normal teeth

And with the GT system High tier teeth are not stuck on low tier layers. I can see Valkyrie being used in bearing stamina combos because of the monster teeth.
Because of Slash Valkyrie’s monster teeth, I imagine that the only attack combos that will ever be needed is Slash Valkyrie 0/00/10/Blitz Lift/Bump/Wall Bearing/Atomic/Xtreme

That is until we get a base better than Slash.
Hmmm. That beystadium, does it come with Dragon and Valkyrie and all the assorted parts? That seems like a very good deal if so.
Due to the comparable weight in layers, I think Cho-Z layers will still be competitively useful against the GT layers, which i'm happy about, it's rather refreshing compared to the initial release of Cho-Z, where there was such a power gap that most God layers became severely outclassed. Also, I'm bummed that they're making all of these weird GT discs extremely heavy, which will probably make 0, 00, and 10 obsolete.

That's quite a fair and sensible analysis. I agree with your statement. Though I'm more a casual Blader myself nowadays, I have my favorites from the God Layer series that I hope remain viable.

i think the only god layer beys that could stand a chance against cho z/gt is SR,NL,MG

Not really obsolete especially since the GT Disks released so far don't have any Frame compatibility (for LAD, more attack potential, etc). What's good though is that we finally get Disks with gimmicks. The GT Disks to be released so far might not be too good for LAD considering the designs and descriptions
Am i the only one who thinks these new beys suck? Sure, it's WAAAAAAY too soon to judge them but they burst too easily. Slash Valkyrie can't be saved by its 2 tall teeth, who wants to use it with Bearing? Dash drivers are pretty much necessary, from what i've seen so far. Looks like TT passed from "VERY HARD to burst" beys to "a soft breeze can tear them apart" beys. Couldn't find a balance?

You don't have to choose between polar opposites. Obviously, Xtreme' is the way to go with Slash Valkyrie, but its teeth could break and it isn't necessary to use such a strong spring for those massive teeth. Also, not even Cho-Z Valkyrie was good enough to be use with Bearing because the recoil made it lose Stamina easily. Something in the middle would be best, like Eternal, Xtreme, Destroy, etc.
But isn't this what people WANTED?? First people complained about beys not bursting enough. They fixed that and now they burst alot. I dont get it

IKR Groan
But how would dual rotations work? Wouldn't the dual rotation teeth have to be seperate or 2 different cores in the same thing? How would it work?!

I think they would make two forms of the same Gachi Chip. For example, if they make Spriggan, it would probably have a Spriggan R Chip (Face looking right) and a Spriggan L Chip (Face looking left).

Welp time to remake my fan made beyblade(My fan made Beyblade is a revive Phoenix type of beyblade with dual rotation). It might be too early for this but if there was a rulebook for Gachi beys I think it would have the same rules as the duo beys.

It's not too beneficial for competitive bladers, but perhaps when there's a super reliable attacker.

For me personally, as a non competitive blader who is more casual and a collector, it isn't too bad for me. I would like the beys to be somewhat competent, especially Ashura, but I appreciate that Burst took a step back and worked on what made it fun, the burst finishes. The Burst stoppers over complicated things and made things not that fun. These GT beys are more what I want.

However, I do think part of the reason why these are so easy to Burst so far is because these disks, namely Blitz and Sting are generally heavier than older ones and have more inertia, versus the 20-21 gram layer we got so far. But then again, 00 + any heavy frame are around that weight so perhaps I'm wrong and it's something else like the layers shape or driver tightness.
Honestly, I'm kind-of happy beyblades are starting to burst again.

Remember when burst came out and you'd be hard pressed not to get a burst? That was exciting. Battles were quick and tensions were SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER.

I get that not bursting is great for competition, but for diversity and excitement sake, I'm happy that GT exists.

My only hope is for All GT parts to be roughly balanced with each-other competitively, and for there not to be anything truly overpowered, which would suck because that is honestly no better than a single overpowered layer from any of the previous systems, but even worse since there are so many layer combos and possibilities that would go straight to waste.

Honestly, burst did a really poor job at minimizing power creeps, even from within systems. I really hope GT is more of a blessing than a curse.

Hey Cn3! I read the Bearing thing on this very thread, and the majority of the users trusted that a Slash Valkyrie/something/Br combo could actually be not only viable but also competitive. I never thought it, cause Br can be used with a low number of layers (hS and Cho-z S on top, Sr some time ago). No doubt that Slash Valkyrie is not among them eheheh!!! About the teeth, yeah Valkyrie was kinda unlucky this time. Too tall=likely prone to break. Cho-z Achilles dominated almost every match against the new GTs delivering burst after burst (a few times self-bursted), that's why i talked about TT in that way. I'm not complaining, cause it's a back-to-basics thing here. There MUST be a reason why these Beyblades series have the word BURST beside.
Charge looks like an attack type version of Yard...
