They need to expand on the characters from Sparking. And please for the love of god, no more new main characters.

Personally, I would've just worked on Drum more and made him the main protagonist in Sparking since I feel like he needed a bit more development. I can understand not having Valt and Aiga as the main protagonists anymore since they've both been fully developed into seasoned bladers and characters, but with Drum whilst he did grow as a blader, his character feels a bit too much of the same from start to finish with not quite as much change. Not helping his screen time during GT was much shorter due to the episode length, so honestly, I would've just had Drum be the main character for one more season.
I remember when I first saw the teaser of Sparking where we saw the silhouettes of the Legendary Bladers, it made me think "oh wow, it's going to be a huge brawl between the three main characters to see which of the three is the true champion". I thought Sparking was going to ditch the new main characters concept and instead focus on the brawls of the legends to see who comes out on top, and to see which one of the three main characters would win. Of course, we did end up getting two main characters and the series had a similar structure to the previous two seasons.
I do agree with you on Shu though, he always gets the most focus in the seasons he appears in out of all the veteran bladers. Like, I get that he's one of the most popular characters and one of the major characters of course so he should get plenty of focus, but he always ends up shafting the other characters. They really didn't need to have him be the one mentoring Lean (the main antagonist), because it just feels like an excuse to make him one of the spotlight characters (along with the twins and Lean). Heck, he's the only one who gets a new jacket and character ref out of the Legendary Bladers.
I just hope this next season, if it yet again switches to a new protagonist won't just be another cookie cutter crazy hot head excited kid again. Nothing against Drum or Hyuga, they're fine but they just feel like your typical Burst protagonist, hot headed and excited, obsessed with beyblade only. Valt at least had time to develop as a character, which was why I liked him more.
Yeah Drum is a bit smarter than the other hot headed protagonists, but he still felt the same otherwise. Hyuga isn't really different or interesting. I felt Drum and Hyuga suffered from their series shorter run time and don't get enough development.
The reason I liked Aiga is because he does actually develop from massive bratty jerk to humble guy. We see how different he is from Chouzetsu during Sparking, where he happily chose Ranjiro as a partner and was proud of him when he won for them, where as in Chouzetsu, Aiga was a bit unhappy when Fubuki won for their tag match in Episode 21.
I just want the next protagonist, assuming that it is a new one will be more than just "main character of the week who fills the main character role with overdone archetypes".

I agree, I hope that if we get a new main character, his personality will be different. I know in a lot of anime, they have the crazy hot-blooded hero all the time and people seem to like that, but (and this will be a very unpopular take) I'd like a main character with a bit of a brood in there. I'm not saying to make the series edgy, of course not. But I would like a main character who's a bit cold at first, and it's up to the their happy-go-lucky friends to try and lighten things up and show them the values of friendship. It would help the main character develop into a more cheerful and humble character and give the group of friends a role in the series (and not just be superfluous characters).
In other words, subvert it a bit and have the focus be on the character who would typically be the main character's rival, but make them the actual main character. People may think that sounds like a boring idea and may be worried that they would have to start out as strong, but they don't have to because they can be a bit aloof but also suck at blading at first due to their attitude and initial mindset, and the way they would grow stronger would be with the help of the group of friends by getting to try things out from their perspective as part of their journey. It would be something different and we wouldn't have to keep getting the same copy and paste main characters.
Petition to have Sisco as the main character.

Let's face it, Valt, Drum and Hyuga are pretty generic. We need someone with a more analytical personality like Hikaru or someone who's actually interesting like Aiga.

I really liked Hikaru's approach of being more analytical and uses tactics, not the same reckless "attack attack attack" approach. We need more beyblade main protagonists who are strategic and uses some smarts. Drum sorta had this but again he felt a bit standard. I also liked that Hikaru was not all that successful in the legends tournament, there's that imperfection about his skills which I like, and needs to be done a bit more.
Aiga, while hotheaded, he had much more to him, and overall, the moral he had to learn was done well. I don't know if the dark resonance stuff is needed but it is a nice touch.

Whilst Aiga was indeed the most different from the other main characters in Burst, he was still hot-blooded and fun-loving who still made friends very early on (though that's not a slate towards Aiga, since I do like him as a main character). The idea I pitched was having a main character who actually starts off as aloof and cold (like Delta, though not nearly as mean haha) but also sucked at blading at first due to their attitude, something that's also different from Aiga since he was actually a pretty good blader at first.
Also, Aiger's negative personality only truly affected him during midway of the season, whilst the main character idea I suggested would suck from the start but grow progressively as both a person and a blader the more he spent time with their friends.
I would like a somewhat fresh start in s6. I definitely want some cameos featuring past characters as well as references to past events that have occurred in burst to establish some continuity but as Needforspeed said, the same old garbage is starting to get irritating. I kind of want this season to forget the “norms” of beyblade and go all out. Maybe have an antagonist that isn’t in any way a villain or maybe even tell the story from the point of view of main antagonist effectively making them the central character. One thing I like that I think should return is the concept of focusing on a particular unique type of battle. Sparking focused on tag battles so maybe this season can focus on something else.
Edit- ahh LOL-y Rancher beat me to it lol.

Here’s an interesting one: What if we have two protagonists again this time around but one is the main heroic character whilst the other is main antagonist. They two follow separate journeys and are effectively archenemies which divides the story into two sub stories per episode apart from the episodes where they end up running into each other causing them to clash at those various intervals. Eventually the two stories merge when the boys realize that their beys have a special connection (a new type of compound resonance that occurs between two beys that have bonded deeply together) and they decide to set aside their differences and work together to stop a greater authority or defeat someone super symbolic. The two boys own beys that are exact opposites as well. Of course this would never happen as the episodes are 12 mins long but it’s an interesting thought.

This sounds pretty cool, something that Sparking should've done IMO. I really like the idea of showing two siblings going through a different journey to reach the same goal and there's quite a bit of potential for development.
Whilst I was okay with the sibling bond between Hyuga and Hikaru, it didn't feel like it reached its full potential and mostly consisted of the two bickering "no me first, no me first" every time they first approached a Legendary Blader.
You guys have no proof that any of those characters will come back yet. All we are given is that the season is confirmed and the release date. But nothing else besides the elections.
The same old characters with the same old parts is just boring nostalgia bait. We need big fresh start. I want almost every blader to be completely new. Shoving the same old dues down my throat gets me bored of the season fast.
lol 5 protags returning for s6
what if we get a girl to be the protagonist
