Location
We'll likely be playing outside, by the gazebo attached to the front of the High Park Nature Centre.
This means that if you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, follow Colborne Lodge Dr. down until you'll see the large gazebo on the left-hand side. Check the red pin on the map image below if you're still unsure.
If we aren't in the gazebo out front or on the grass, check behind the Nature Centre as well, as there is another gazebo there.
If you have any questions about the location, time, or date, please feel free to post about it below.
Any updates to the venue location or rescheduling will be posted by me on the morning-of, at the latest.
If you see nothing posted to the contrary, assume everything is continuing as outlined here.
NOTE: Public washrooms can be found just west of the Bloor St W entrance of High Park. There are no public washrooms available at the High Park Nature Centre. Do not knock on their door asking to enter. They don't like that.

Have an Xtreme Beystadium (Hasbro) or Deck Box? Bring it!
We will be bringing a single Xtreme Beystadium for this event, but more are always welcome! 3on3 Format is also best played with a box that hold 3 Beyblades in secret, so if you do have a Beyblade X "3on3 Deck Case" (pictured below), bring it!
Any BeyStadium is fine for free play, but Hasbro's version of Beyblade X's "Xtreme Beystadium" (similar to the one pictured below) are particularly appreciated. If you can bring one, please post here to let us know.
The more Xtreme Stadiums we have present the more matches we can play simultaneously. If you are able to bring additional Stadiums or Deck Boxes, please let me know in advance.

Tomorrow we will vote in person whether or not we feel Phoenix Wing Blade should be restricted, heads up. I have heard multiple complaints about it in Hasbro meta but would like participating parties to express themselves the day-of.
I’m going to be late. We will shift 11:45-12:00 to 12:00-12:15. 15 min delay on our check-in and start time.
Thank you to everyone that participated! Since we didn't end up going through with a change in restrictions, maybe our next Hasbro event will see some limits on Soar Phoenix/Phoenix Wing Blade.
Congrats to the following bladers:
1st Hato!
2nd Kei!
3rd Basdf!
Here is the results spreadsheet (Challonge link with WC sheet).

What was the general consensus in regard to Soar Phoenix? From my experience, I see it impacting the Hasbro meta no differently than how Rod has the TT format. A very strong safe option, but not unbeatable and arguably more 'fair' than Rod since it's much more accessible as opposed to Rod.
I can see it being included in every deck (I might be an anomaly since I choose not to use it), which could make Hasbro format feel stale on arrival I guess. I wish there was a way to "restrict it" rather than flat-out banning it. Do you guys play your deck format still to 4 points or to 5 or 7? Perhaps keeping 3-on-3 the same, whilst implementing a point penalty during Deck Format could balance the field out slightly?
Just my shower thoughts.

I think it is best that our participants respond to this at some point, but my two cents organizing and judging Vol. 4.5 is that Phoenix Wing/Soar Phoenix's place feels near identical to playing TT's meta in February during Vol. 1. This was where Phoenix Wing was the only 'big bad'. The pond it swam in was just Hells Scythe, Dran Sword, Shark Edge, and the odd Cobalt Drake or Hells Chain.
I personally think it is fair to say that PW/SP in this Hasbro meta, at this event, was not radically different than how it was in the TT meta pre-Rod. It is powerful, but it is not unbeatable. Most will choose to use it in their decks and fight fire with fire. It is a good part, that is expected.
If anything, perhaps PW/SP was a little less concerning in the Hasbro stadium since I saw Dran Sword and Shark Edge perform well enough in the mirror KO-wise. This did not feel like it was the case earlier in the year for Vol. 1 where Dran Sword felt very weight-crept in the 1v1, with no reliable win condition. I suppose this makes sense, there is a lot more ground to cover in the TT stadium, and Phoenix is harder for Dran Sword to move in general.
Shark Edge is still roughly the same gamble in either environment, so it is consistent in that sense. Actually Shark is probably less likely to hit "too hard" in the Hasbro environment and cause as many rebounds, so it might be really buffed here?
There were calls to restrict Phoenix in the TT environment a few months ago too, I think. It did not happen at an organization-wide level. I would restrict in Hasbro in a future event if I felt like it would be more entertaining. Not because I think the Hasbro format needs it to keep players interested/invested. I agree with you that a mixed implementation of restrictions/deterrents would be the most fair way to deal with Phoenix since it isn't as warping in some match types.
The biggest loser in the Hasbro meta may very well be Hells Scythe. I don't remember it having a huge impact across the board at Vol. 4.5, very different than what the TT environment of Vol. 1 afforded it. Chain was actually more interesting to watch as a defensive pick here.
