Autumn Experimental

London, UK - 15th October 2016

Yup, London is getting colder. University and school has now started for everyone. Hm, I reckon it's a great time for a tournament! But not just any... 2 Formats! Burst and Experimental!!!
Let's go bois

2 Formats!?
U wot m8!?

2016
LONDON
EXPERIMENTAL
What even is Experimental anyways...

Time:
The tournament itself will start at 12:00pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive for 11:30am. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.

Location:
Regent's Park. We shall be at the Bandstand as always, but in case of congestion, we may relocate to the smaller shelter on the way to the Ready Money Drinking Fountain. Please check this thread on the day for updates or like us on Facebook for any quick location updates.

Directions:
Here is a map of Regent's Park. Click on the tab labelled "Monuments, Fountains and Statues". Head to the area marked Bandstand or in some cases, head to the Ready Money Drinking Fountain. We suggest taking the London Underground or Bus to Baker Street.

Tournament Format:
Not one but 2 Formats!
First we will have Burst Format. We will be doing Round Robin, seeing as we have a small participant pool. But hey, more battles, more fun! Block Round Robin if we get over 12 participants, so be ready for either! Please read the rules first!
For the second Format, we will be playing the new Experimental Format! Rules for that are here and Deck Rotation rules are here.

Price:
Now, all participants must pay a £3 fee for the tournament. We accept cash only!
If you have a valid Blader Passport, entry is free! Blader Passports can be purchased on the day for £10 and last a whole year! Absolute bargain!

Prizes:
Prizes will be put on order and the usual Faces/Credits and even MBG special edition swag will be available to winners! The Experimental Format also awards Faces/Credits, but no beypoints! Also, you'll get entered into the Hasbro-themed beylotto! Read more here.

Hosts and Judges:
This tournament is being hosted by Manicben, WBO mentor and tournament host. I have chosen philo1114 and ~Mana~ (depending on numbers) to be judges this time round, due to their support and experience. If you have any queries, either here or on the day, feel free to PM Manicben or talk to one of us on the day, we would be happy to help!

Important Advice:
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public park. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from future events. Please keep your personal belongings with you or in a safe place while at the bandstand. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to a judge, so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than 12:10pm, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate.

Message from the Hosts:
Stay tuned on the Revival Thread or the new WBO UK Facebook Page for more info and tournament dates!

Spread the Word!
Are you as excited about the festivities as we are?! If so, be sure to tell your friends about it! And if you haven't already, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

This is a Burst format tournament (technically for both), so no, you cannot not use Metal Fight Beyblade beys. Sorry.
Nice, thanks for participating! Have fun!
Seems our beyranks haven't been updated Uncertain
@[philo1114] The reason is because there is a queue of tournaments waiting to be processed. Our tournament will only get processed after previous tournaments around the world have been and this takes time.

We can only wait... :')

Can we do the seeding with the result of burst format on that day in case the BeyRank is still yet to be updated by that day?
It'll be updated before then. I'll make sure of it Tongue_out

That's a good point to bring up though regarding seeding when results haven't been processed. Something I think nobody has mentioned regarding the format yet...

Luckily, moving forward I think there's several factors that are going to come to fruition soon that will lead us to being able to keep the queue more up to date (upgraded plugin, Manicben's spreadsheet automation, new policies for results submission, etc), so I wouldn't anticipate this being a problem! If it did happen, I'd just use the BeyRanks that currently exist ... the chance of them being majorly out of date is low anyways.
In tournament play? The string-based BeyLauncher and the ripcord-based Light Launcher are legal in tournament play.

All ripcords are made of plastic anyway, so I'm not sure exactly what else you might be referring to, haha.
Uh sorry guys, I'm afraid no prizes this time round. (I'm still waiting for my package which was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday, Parcelforce can't seem to find my flat... idiots)

Hopefully I'll have something else to sub in Grin
Ay lmao, love double posting!

Prizes been sorted for BST format, nothing for EXP sadly.

Please be strictly on time since we need to finish up both tournaments by 4:30pm (soz guys)
And please remember to wrap up warm, I predict a cold day
Burst Format
1st - @[philo1114]
2nd - @[basedsamuraij]
3rd - @[Syphon]

Experimental Format
1st - @[philo1114]
2nd - @[ClaraM]
3rd - @[Chimera]

A fun day in general, and congratulations to the winners. Everything went smoothly, and I think we basically broke the meta (Storm Spriggan Oval Quake OP).

We'll also have more of an update on the status of the Burst Format tournament soon, so stay tuned for that one.
Great tourney yesterday boys (and Ben.) Looking forward already to the next one. The great British Quake Off was legendary and shall go down in burst history.

(Spriggan Oval Quake is so damn OP)
It was a darn good day, even if things got a bit sticky toward the end of the first tournament.

I'll be sure to bring Unite out more often. It a quick tip indeed.
Had an absolute blast yesterday and will definitely be attending more tournaments! Standard was great everyone was really nice and helped with parts and combos. Experimental was so fun to play and overall I felt super welcomed and part of the group. Looking forward to the next tournament, I'm coming for you Philo!
Hey @[Manicben], this is the next tournament in the queue technically, so could you submit everything when you have a moment? Or anyone else who can, really.

Very sorry, I keep getting reminded by @[~Mana~] and I never get the time to (even tho most of it gets done in seconds lol). If I get time tomorrow I will do it, however coursework deadlines beckon...
