Ask a question, get an answer! #2

What are the possibilities of hasbro releasing vulcan in a wave? Sorta like what they did with cyber pegasis an counter leone.
230 is extremely dated for defense, and the combo as a whole is dated; there was a period when it ruled the metagame, thus a lot of combo's have been found to counter it. It's not hard to KO, anyway, which is the main problem if you want to use it defensively.

Bull is also pretty bad on basalt, and without an MF-H the whole thing is pretty darned terrible.

Basalt is also fading from defensive use, Duo greatly outperforms it, Death does slightly better than it. Most attackers don't have TOO much trouble against anything but MF-H Basalt Aquario BD145RDF, though BD145CS is still pretty decent in a tournament situation.

People shouldn't be yelling you for not listing your parts, if that is the question you ask. If you were to ask "is this the best defense combo I can make/i made this combo can i do better", then they're justified, but if not, they shouldn't be (though we can always be more help if you do post all your parts, to give recommendations in case you miss something, people shouldn't be "yelling" at you).

smoked17: Both those beys were released in the legend series because they were Hybrid Wheel Versions of Metal System wheels. Vulcan is not, and I doubt it would be released like that as a result, but it's impossible to say with hasbro.
So, I should get some MFs use Basalt with Kerbecs AD145WD??

And about the parts thing: If I had just posted the question in the Build Me A Combo thread, I would've gotten warned ("yelled") at because my post wasn't meeting the standards that the thread required, which is to list your parts.

Thank you th!nk for helping me out. Joyful_3

AMEN TO THAT.
A few questions-
Were the Storm and Rock wheels decent for attack before the release of LLD?
I know they sucked after the release of LLD, but did they suck from the time they were released?
There was Pegasis and also Quetzalcoatl to outclass these. So, did they even find use(even if niche) upon their arrival?
Was Flame useful for Stamina upon release? IIRC, it was released before Earth.
I know that Flame/Thermal etc found use in destabilization, but were they top choices for Stamina at that time?
Also, may someone enlighten me with facts about the Burn MW, which turned out to be a superb choice for Stamina, and also found niche use in Attack?
Get MF-H, Use MF-H Basalt Aquario/Kerbecs BD145CS.

Hm, I will look into that.

Not a problem.

jan: Storm was probably a little overrated. Rock was okay. Leone and Pegasis were better than both, Quetz probably was too. Storm was top tier for a time, even after Lightning's release (there was a hot debate on whether it was outclassed by lightning or not), Rock for attack was never a big deal as far as I recall (it was generally derided alongside Dark), but I wasn't there when it was first released.

Flame was once top-tier for stamina iirc, even post-Earth. Thermal was also top tier for a short time.

Ray was top-tier for a short while too, I will never understand how it got there, considering the fact it was released with CS and RSF, both of which murdered it horribly, but even then it was pretty poor compared to other wheels around.

Burn _ [lowtrack]RF. Never was top-tier, but was actually pretty excellent. The "Flywheel Effect", with the externally distributed weight, means it kinda "cut through" things, and moved very fast. It was a surprisingly aggressive wheel, in fact. If only it were left-spin compatible...

Sorry, one more question: I've been told to use my BD145 with Lightning L-Drago and RF/R2F/LRF. I value defense more than attack, so until I can get another BD145, what track should I use with my Lightning L-Drago (I know its a bit outdated too)??
That question really belongs in Build Me a Combo, with a list of your tracks. CH120, R145, SW145, H145 in that order are probably the best choices, though.
What tracks do you have in the first place?
And this time Last Memory, your question might suit Build Me a Combo a bit more, as you are finding an alternative track to use. Smile
But yes, BD145 has to be used for Defense. Good tracks are H145/R145/CH120
Also, thanks a lot, th!nk.
EDIT- Beaten!
Ok, thanks guys!
Is there much difference between string launchers and the Rip Cord Launchers? I heard that the String Launchers give a faster spin... Sorry for not using the 'Technical' terms.
Does weak launching(left spin bey) work well when facing right-spin attackers like Blitz and Vari(right spin)? Because in my case, Vari KOes Meteo even if I launch it as weak as possible...is that normal?
Beylaunchers/String Launchers do give noticably higher launch power/RPM than most Ripcord launchers, but they take some getting used to.

However, it is widely accepted that it is very much worth getting used to it, as that extra oomph is invaluable for competitive play.

Meteo will just get knocked out by Blitz regardless, because it is small and lightweight.

On the other hand, weak launching right spin beys(top tier Defense/Stamina combos) against Left Spin Attackers is a boon.
So, yeah!
i recently received a remote control draciel g...it is functioning..but i dont know how to play with it lol..anyone have idea?
Move trigger one way, moves tip to speed up bey right spin. Move other way, moves tip to change direction (normally messes up the spin).

Remove cap at end, attach bey to charge.

That's what I remember from my dranzer v2.
i charged it..then i try launch..play with the trigger...it seems nothing happen...is there any switch n the bey itself or something?
then..there is a switch too somewhere other than the trigger...wonder what is its use..XD
No, there's no switch on the bey. Did the light come on when you pressed the trigger (iirc there's an LED). If not, check the batteries.
yes,,there is LED while i put the bey on the launcher..i use new batteries actually..XD
You do have the switch on the launcher set to "on" right?

When you press the trigger without launching the bey, does the tip move? If not, the bey could be broken, maybe the internal rechargable battery has run dry?
I had a question: If some how you got a Left Spin beyblade on a right spin launcher would if you launched it would it start to spin right?

Left spin beyblades actually can't sit onto the prongs on a Right spin launcher, same works the other way around. So, even if you put it on a right spin launcher show how, it would spin right...
Yeah, but that's illegal and the only way to make it spin left is by launching it at the surfacebof the stadium.

yes..the 'on' switch is there...
like you said..when i press the trigger..the tip didnt move... T.T
but i was just wondering and the way i got it on was one of the launchers "teeth" was bent so then i could get my Tornado L-Drago on so yeah just wondering.
Well, any number of things inside the bey could be wrong, but I'd think the most likely would be the internal rechargable battery would be dead.

Still; you managed to reassemble an engine gear, you might be able to sort through the base and find out what sort of battery it uses and replace it. Just don't hurt yourself.

If you break it, fill it with something like plasticine and use it as a super-heavy base, haha.
