Ask a question, get an answer! #2

Hey i just joined this forum today and my first question is this:

I have been blading since 2001 when it was first introduced and i have always fought with Draciel MS, but with the new blades out i am wondering if i can still use this blade in competitions or if i should update to a newer blade?

Beyblade has been one of my favorite things in my life but i have never been to a tournament so before i apply to and Qualifiers i just had to check, thanks

You can use that in HMS Format, but all of the main formats (Limited, Standard, Zero-G) only allow Mrtal Fight Beyblades, which include the Metal System (PHWS), Hybrid Wheel System, 4D System, and Zero-G tops.
Ok thanks a lot, guess i need to get a new blade then

However, the Qualifiers are Limited, so be sure to check the Ban List before purchasing new tops.

How do u know what mold of Rock you have besides Weighing it?
(Apr. 13, 2014  11:24 PM)DRAGON KING Wrote: How do u know what mold of Rock you have besides Weighing it?

There are four rock molds, three based on the number of cylinders (6, 3, 0) and the fourth the SonoKong one:
The main one, the cylinders, you will absolutely know if you have anything other than a 6 cylinder mold, it's one of the most obvious mold differences in Beyblade, look at the cylindrical structures underneath in the centre of each protrusion. As someone with a 0 cylinder mold it's always surprising that people don't realise those are the cylinders it refers to, haha, but if you have nothing to compare to then I see how that could be confusing.

For the record (and because it's my job to fix it and I haven't done the testing or got the data I want to do so yet), weighing it won't help you at all - Beywiki is incorrect about the 0 cylinder mold being lighter - the metal is moved to the underside of the wheel around the outer edge (producing a sizeable increase in solo spin time). I lack any real data on the three cylinder mold other than the weight on beywiki, but looking at it in pictures I'd assume its solo spin would be the worst of the three because the cylinders are beefed up which means more weight towards the centre.

The SonoKong one is most obvious through weights, but if you look closely it has much thinner edges, and also a slightly different shape and angle for its protrusions (someone else pointed this out to me and for the life of me I can't remember who, so apologies to them for lack of credit) which IIRC are the same size rather than three big, three slightly smaller in the regular version. It's possible/likely that not all SonoKong beys will use this lighter mold as they released proper Mold 2 Earth Wheels around the time Rock Leone was around. SonoKong Rock Giraffes likely almost always come with them.
Which mold is best?
As I said, haven't got the testing I want done, but with 0 cylinder mold's weight distribution being edge-focussed enough to add like 20-30s solo spin vs 6 cylinder, considering Rock is generally used offensively that's much better. I mean the only reason to use Rock at all would be tornado stalling (MF Rock Cancer 85MF is the combo I've settled on) and 6 cylinder misses some outspins that 0 cylinder gets (0 cylinder outspins basically everything burn does that I've tried (and I tried a lot of things), though some things are a bit closer so might be hit and miss in a tournament situation or whatever), so that's basically it, but again, no testing so pinch of salt etc.

I really must get onto making a thread for that combo but that'd be part of those rock tests and I've got IRL stuff going on right now.
I'm confuse, that is a L-Drago with a Storm wheel ?!? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SUPER-RARE-Takara...2a4&_uhb=1 There is no information of that bey on Beywiki...
That originally comes with the carry case (the one with Ryuga on the cover) w/ DVD. it is Storm Wolf WD145B, but since it has a ldrago, they call it L-Drago. It is legit though.

Really strange... But, why TT released a right spinning beyblade with Wolf clear wheel and Storm metal wheel and called it L-Drago... It is a mystery ?

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get metal fight manga in English? So far all I can find is Japanese, French and German.

This topic is for the Beyblade toys, but I think it barely got released in English.

For whatever reason, it has a clear L-Drago face, so they most likely assumed it was an L-Drago.

Since it came with the DVD bundle, I'm not sure if it had an official name.

No one can clear this up with an official name? Yet other are "ignorant" for not knowing the name..

Its written in Japanese there on the DVD cover, is it not? I sadly cannot begin to translate.

Is it simply a Storm Wolf WD145B (/w an L Drago printed face)?

It is not written in Japanese : Mani Ltd. is from Hong Kong.

I tried making sense of what is on Funbox's website, which I think is actually taiwanese, but besides seeing one of the symbols usually associated with 'dragon' (which does not mean much), I could not find any fit.

If you cannot read Chinese (whatever dialect is on that box), then yes, do not give it a name out of nowhere that kids will want to follow. In itself though, yes, it is simply a Storm Wolf WD145B with an L Drago Face.
I asked my mom (who can read Chinese) to help me translate the name on the DVD box. She told me that the purple text says "strong wind dragon," which, based on its placement in front of the Track and Bottom, I assume really means "Storm L-Drago," while the black text below it says something along the lines of "crystal battle wolf version."

Thanks mom!

I always called it Crystal L-Drago just because I never knew its official name or even the parts it came with. I've seen fakes of it at flea markets and it said storm L-Drago in the box Tongue_out.

1. This isn't the right thread for that.
2. No blader is invincible (atleast not in Standard or Limited)
