April introduces new Beyblade Burst system-Dual Layers!

It only syncs with the BeyTerminal so far : you are allowed to scan one Layer per day for one or five tries at the BeyTerminal, I cannot remember exactly how many. But yes, there have been small black square NFC chips in Burst Layers since the beginning.

And no, unfortunately the chance of there being metal besides the screws in the Dual Layers is almost inexistent.

This is a huge safety hazard and I for one am happy to have attack/defense style and weight distribution decoupled once again. Just a shame that the options for weight distribution aren't that compelling yet.

Imagine, your five year old son is playing with beyblades, and all of a sudden, a double burst finish happens and the layer flies out hits your child in the face.

Yeah, I don't really think including metal would make that any safer. LOL
this got me so hyped but now this seems like a let down. We don't have any pictures yet so I won't pass a solid judgement. But dual layers that are screwed together. And having the colored plastic outside. Seems like a huge mistake to me.

I am both relieved and disappointed at the same time. I like the current system except for a few gripes so I'm happy that it'll stay mostly the same, but I was looking forward to having more customizability. So long as this fixes the problem with the teeth I don't really care what they do.

These are my thoughts exactly. While it would've been fun and exciting to see something new, I really like the simplicity of the three part system that Burst has. My only hope is that they just don't ruin the amazing aesthetics of Burst.
haha dark deathscyther... how original...
I don't mind simplicity, it's what can make a toy great... I just hope we're prepared for "shrinking pains", all depending on the extent of its design.

(mind the nonsensical wording of my post, just trying not to adhere to my own speculative habits.)
When the hybrid wheel system came out, it didn't make mfb ugly. When the S series came out, it didn't make beyblade any uglier. Why should we doubt takara tomy now? they have been providing beautiful beyblades for many years. it just seems so stupid to think that TT will make beyblades that nobody will buy, because they don't look good. They will look fine, so stop overreacting, calm down, and think of how great these beys could look if made properly. I rest my case.

Whether something looks good or not is pretty much a matter of opinion.
My question is. Why make a "Duo Layer System" if it's just one layer? I guess we'll have to wait to get more info on it, seeing as though it hasn't been officialy released. But I'm on the train hoping they do something similar to the hybid wheel system. I beleive there will be a locking system to keep four part from flying everwhere when it bursts. And you can manually unlock the layers after the battle for customization.

Well, some might argue ... (myself included)

What Takara-Tomy wants, what Takara-Tomy thinks the market wants, what the market actually wants, and what individuals like myself or you or others want, can all be different things.

I don't really get the point that's trying to be made here. I personally think that the Hybrid Wheel system looks way better than the Wheel system.

But the bottom line is, while looking cool would be nice, my main concern is how it performs.

The point is that everyone has their own opinion, actually.
Yeah, in this case, I'm going to side with Brad on this one, I think the V series are the most forgettable but does that mean everyone else think so? No.

V-series is definitely pretty bad ...
If these truly do nothing then I hope it's just some weird April fools joke, despite being a day later released but this might surprise us.
Yeah I see what you mean. I apologize if it seemed I was stepping in your opinion

I would be lying if I said that smiley face on your comment, and the word "April" on the thread didn't raise my eyebrows.

Better not be pulling another Beyblade Steel Squad on us.

EDIT: OOPS! That was a reply to someone else, my bad.
hahahahahahha, I don't think I would ever do something like that again

I think I just started a war.
Not really. Read the posts after that.

I think the Hybrid Wheel System looked fine, but the 2008 Metal Fight Beyblades are my favorite system from the franchise as a whole.

The new ones will look fine, you guys are pointlessly complaining. At least wait until we have pictures.
