Hello,
My son and I are still in the Burst era and he's accumulated a large stash of Beys ranging from Cho-Z to now DB. He has a couple of Hasbro Pro's, (maybe 6?), and the quality is pretty good... until some of the teeth start wearing. Unfortunately, we don't have the equivalent TT Beys so we can't do a 1 to 1 comparison on the parts. But now he's looking to get some competitive pieces and I'm curious if the Hasbro Pro drivers are as good as the equivalent Takara Tomy drivers.
For instance, the cheapest we can find Quick' from TT is around $30 USD on a Union Spriggan. We can find that same driver on a Hasbro Pro set for about $22 USD. With him getting more and more into the DB releases, the Beys are almost meaningless to him so it's kind of coming down to the cost of just getting the drivers. I've often seen the comment on the BeyBlade Wiki along the lines of "Hasbro's version if virtually unchanged albeit with thinner plastic and cheaper materials". Or something to that extent. Is that just a blanket statement based on previous things like teeth wear or does that apply to everything Hasbro puts out? Of note: I never see that disclaimer on the driver Wiki pages.
Any firsthand insight is appreciated! Oh, and I'm not sure about the legality, but Tournament wouldn't matter for him at this stage.
