Time:
The tournament itself will start at 12:00pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive for 11:30am. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.
Please note that we cannot predict how long an event will be, as this varies based on the number of competitors and the ongoings throughout the day. If you're planning on staying for the whole event, please be prepared to stick around for at least 2-3 hours.
Location:
Regent's Park. We shall be at the Bandstand as always. Please check this thread on the day for updates or like us on Facebook for any quick location updates.
Directions:
Here is a map of Regent's Park. Click on the tab labelled "Monuments, Fountains and Statues". Head to the area marked Bandstand. We suggest taking the London Underground or Bus to Baker Street.
Prizes:
We might have prizes. We might not. Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hosts and Judges:
This tournament is being hosted by ~Mana~. If you have any queries about the event, feel free to PM us or post in the thread and we'll be happy to help!
Important Advice:
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public park. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from future events. Please keep your personal belongings with you or in a safe place while at the bandstand. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to a judge, so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is much appreciated.
Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than 12:10pm, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate. If you know you'll be late, please let us know via PM or a post in-thread!

2nd: @[V2KX]
3rd: @[Ultra]
Thanks to everyone who attended, it was a great day all around! Everyone seemed to be having fun (even with the free play in the big sled stadium!), so I'd call this a success, haha. Hope to see you all again soon!

Does everyone usually leave when they're done and not stay to watch the finals? it's a shame if that's the case.
Glad you had a good time! Hopefully you'll have better luck next time! Unfortunately yeah, that is the case. A lot of kids lose interest once their battles finish, or their parents want to head home straight away. It's entirely understandable, despite the finals being some of the toughest battles in the event, haha. Thank you for sticking around though!

I was going to take some pics and video, but thought better not with the number of kids there, people get the wrong idea most of the time about that kind of thing.

I need to work on coming up with my own combination of Bey parts!
Guess it must be frustrating, but most of them weren't that interested in watching other people's matches anyway. Needs something to draw in spectators rather than just players. One thing that would help would be to get away from using those plastic, extremely expensive, stadiums that aren't really designed for spectators. I know it's the rules, but the WBO isn't affiliated to either Takara Tomy or Hasbro, so they don't have to stick so doggedly to it. A larger stadium that would allow spectators to see the matches would be a start. The 'official' stadiums don't really give the Beys room to move either. I've posted elsewhere about this, but if the WBO approve strict specifications for custom made stadiums, from a 60cm circular satellite dish, which is twice the size of a TT stadium, there'd be enough room for the Beys to move around, but small enough to have ring outs. There wouldn't be so many launch ring outs either! I'm planning on making one in the Summer, to make it as close to the anime design as possible, including edge bumpers, which I've worked out will cost the same as a TT stadium from eBay and easier to carry to tournaments without damage. Once I've made it, I'll bring it along to the next tournament after that, for your opinion and a test run. Oh and if someone could offer to bake some Bey Bread for the event, that might help too!
I’ll use another bey too!
As well as Chronos...
LOL
