After so much planning and collaboration, the time has finally come for the Rocket City, Magic City, and Gulf Coast Bladers of Alabama to come together and compete like never before! Tournament check-in will begin at 12:00PM, brackets will be generated starting at 1:00PM, and the tournament itself will start no later than 1:15PM. If you know you are to arrive later than 1:15PM, please provide an update to the store/organizers to keep them informed. Otherwise, we won't be able to add you to the tournament bracket once the event begins. Those arriving late may potentially incur a round loss. The tournament is expected to last roughly 5 hours operating at maximum capacity.

If you need to warm up, or need to pass time between rounds, freeplay stations will also be available! Feel free to bring your own stadiums and equipment, too, as backups are always helpful just in case!

The tournament is divided into two stages: Group Stage and Finals Stage, both of which will utilize the 3on3 format! Group Stage will employ swiss bracket pairings, and Finals Stage will observe single elimination!

For more detailed information about the match types or rules in general, please see the WBO official rulebooks here on the WBO website! Here is a brief summary of the match types we'll be using:

Group Stage: Swiss 3on3(Bo3 First to 4 Points)
Build up to 3 Beyblades with no repeating parts to be your deck! At the start of the match, present your deck to the Judge, then your opponent, and then select your initial order of all 3 Beyblades in secret, keeping them concealed from your opponent.

Bladers will battle with the corresponding Beys in their designated orders to score points, and re-shuffle their decks if all 3 battles are completed before the set has been decided.

The first to score 4 points will win the set, and victory in the best of 3 sets will win you the match!


Finals Stage: Single Elimination Deck(Bo3 First to 7 Points)
Build up to 3 Beyblades with no repeating parts to make up your deck! At the start of the match, present your deck to the judge and your opponent, and then choose your first Beyblade in secret.

After each battle, the player who lost the previous battle will be offered the choice to either:

Replay: This means that both players use the same Beyblades again (no switching modes/sides).

OR

Switch: The player who lost the previous battle may choose whether to switch Stadium sides. Then, the previous winner selects their Beyblade and reveals it (they can choose to switch out their Beyblade or stay with their previous choice). Lastly, the loser chooses their Beyblade and reveals it (you can swap modes at this point).

The first to score 7 points will win the set, and victory in the best of 3 sets will win you the match!

Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Optional Rules in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:


Own finish
When you score an Xtreme finish or over finish against a Bey that did not touch your Bey during the battle, it is considered an own finish instead.

When you score an own finish, you receive 1 point. Then, the battle is replayed.

Loser selects position after battle
After each battle within a set, the loser of the previous battle chooses their launch position.

In a WBO deck match, this does not apply if the next battle is a replay.
