A more progressive America

This is actually surprising, this shows that the independent swing that was seen after 1932 is just now starting to reverse itself, I think the graph was democrats always higher but declining, republicans as a relatively straight line with maybe a small bump post 1984, and independents rising from very low to moderately low.

Honestly, it doesn't matter because I'm a Socialist, but whatever.

First of all, Christians don't want gays to marry because being gay is wrong to them/us. I'm Christian and I never really liked the idea of them marrying but I don't really care. I completely agree with you on abortion, tho. But when has the church and state not been seperated? Only thing I know about that should be seperated from each other are science and politics (global warming. many ppl bring politics into it, wtf).

If you're not going to even make an effort to look up words, then don't even bother.

Christians don't want gays to marry? Why? I study theology every day and I have NEVER seen this in the Bible, nor in the commentaries. In fact, your savior preaches equality for everyone. Why can't you follow the same example?

And your last argument (or lack thereof) makes absolutely no sense. Do you know what separation of church and state is? If you did, you would see they have NOT been separated during the Bush Administration (like on abortion or gay marriage legislation). Science and politics shouldn't be separated? Global warming isn't political? Someone that affects the economy as great as it possibly can?

Yeah, you have no idea what you're talking about here.
Like I said, I don't really care one way or the other about gays getting married, they can as far as I'm concerned, I guess. There is a place somewhere in the bible (my mom said) that Jesus said that men should only be with women and vice versa. But
I can't really back it up since I don't have proof. I also was on my PS3 and only had enuff time left to post real quick before I had to get off. I checked them after, tho. Also, I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes top the Bush Administration so your probably right, I'm just trying to back up Republicans/Christians and in vain, lol. Finally, global warming has been taken way too far in politics to the point that if you believe that it is false than you get called worse holocaust denier, but I guess your right about it being involved in politics if global warming is true.

The passage your mother (and other Christians) use is an obscure and misquoted teaching! The only passage that deals directly with the issue is Paul in his letters-- and remember he was writing to the sexually expressive Gentile people. I mean, look at these examples. It blows my mind how people can take this to mean homosexuality is a sin.

As for your Global Warming point, I don't understand your reasoning. There are some outspoken individuals on Global Warming, but hardly any call others "holocaust deniers"; especially in our Senate.
Thats not misquoted. God made Eve for Adam or woman for man, and it supposed to stay that way, but it has been accepted by many people as okay now, I've accepted is okay, tho, but that doesnt is was misquoted.
I meant that people who believe that global warming is false get treated very unfairly (there was some reporter or someone who called them worse than holocaust denier, I saw the video on youtube somewhere.)

I'm not going to argue semantics, but my point still stands. Jesus Christ preached equality for everyone; yet Christians cling to heterosexuality being the only thing there can be because "the Bible says so". This is so erroneous and contradictory to the man that "died for our sins" message.

By the way, he's a perfect of example of a LACK of separation of church and state. While the Western Society is heavily influenced by Judean-Christian values, it's not supposed to be in our carp government and affect our lives.

It makes you feel bad that you're treated unfairly because you don't believe in global warming? Interesting, now you know how homosexuals feel, but to a much lesser degree.

Please tell me you can see these blatant contradictions.
I guess your right, that would be a lack of seperation of church and state. You made a good point, can't really argue with it, lol. Those are contradictions, crud. So your right.
