I asked blader zyeyo to test dF 4g guard,he tested it.it got deleted by aC 4g at and gK spread revolve. It seems that cup around the tip makes it lose alot of stamina at low spin velocities.even if it had polish i can imagine it getting deleted by yell combos.even revolve out precessed guard.with that being said it can defeat accel, zephyr And iron based attack and stallers. Not so sure about attack tho but df 4g guard did good against sX k iron maybe thats cuz of knuckle.inshort guard is not competitive  in anyway in the current meta. However it might do good for dF based defense combos but even for there is octa now.And dF already has excellent  defense on atomic
