Wonder if it will be realeased out side of Asia....
Funimation will more than likely get the license to dub it at some point after the film is shown in Asia, count on it.

Will this be considered part of DBZ Kai? And also, not that the creators even care, but where in the hell will this fit into the canon? As we all know, Dragon Ball movies just love to destroy any official timelines or relevance to the show, and I am sure this will be no different...
Oh, ya, and if past experience has taught me anything, this is probably going to suck too
"The film is set between the 517th and 518th installments of Akira Toriyama's original manga. Specifically, it is set during the "lost decade" of story time after the end of the battle with Majin Buu. Kuririn, Piccolo, Vegeta, and other familar characters will appear in the film. The film is not a spinoff, but a story in the official history of Dragon Ball. "
I don't know why you'd think this has anything to do with Kai. It specifically states "DRAGON BALL Z".
...Can..can it be? A movie that won't destroy DBZ canon?!
Thanks To for the info there. Now I actually have some hope for this movie.
I only assumed it was Kai because of the newer animation style, it was the latest installment of DBZ, and to my knowledg, Kai did not receive any movies on its own. But what does it matter really? DBZ is DBZ, so it wouldn't matter if the word Kai was there or not. Plus, Kai was just a directors cut, so making a Kai movie wouldn't make much sense now that I think about it.
And ya, I was really scared for a second that this was going to be another live action piece of garbage. Thank goodness I was wrong...
