Prizes:
To be determined...
  • We are in need of some BB-10s for the tournament. The more BB-10s, the quicker and smoother the event shall run. Please mark which is yours to avoid thefts and misplacements.
  • Please, PLEASE, PLEASE keep a hold on each and every part you own. We'd like to avoid thefts of all types, from Beyblades to game systems and laptops. Keep all your personal belongings close to your person at all times; do not leave them hanging around, as they are YOUR responsibility, and the tournament staff cannot be held liable for thefts.
  • There are concession stands located around the playground, but Kaji Motomiya recommends that you bring your own refreshments to save a bit from the overpriced drinks and food. There are restaurants located around Central Park after your time at the tournament.
  • Please, no "maybes". You're either going or you're not. We will not list you if you're "possibly", "probably", or "maybe" going. We'd like a firm and direct "yes" or "no" answer.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IT WILL MOST LIKELY BE COLD AT THIS EVENT!! DRESS APPROPRIATELY!!

I think he knows theres more people going so he won't cancel
can someone record
what time does it end

Edit: I'm on my way.
We are currently waiting for more people to show up
It is officially 1:33 PM EST and there are 5 bladers here. This event has been cancelled
Sorry that your tourny has been cancelled, does this mean you will host it next week?
(Dec. 01, 2012  4:49 AM)Kai-V Wrote: People, I have had at least five people propose tournaments for New York in the last month or two, but since New York cannot afford to mess up once more, I had to turn down all the proposals. There is obviously a huge interest in New York, but when one of the two only Members I trust to host a tournament posts one, most of you cannot go ? Of course, it was last minute, but so were the others before that.
I don't want to be offensive or anything like that but New York or New Jersey never failed except on the person you trust's tournament
Mistakes happen once and we've learned from them
And yes, there has been tournaments before that were created on a short notice but they were like five or six days before the tournament, not 2 days
And those tournament were in a warm weather so most parents couldn't have said no because of the weather
Today would have been a better day but next week would have been the best choice

Wow, you have no idea at all. Go read up on the several previous tournaments that happened years ago when you were not even here, go read up on Deikailo, and then come back to tell me that no failure has ever happened before in New York.

And no, mistakes happened several times, not once at all.

Well that was an era of tournaments only by Deikailo
Now, Deikailo hosts no more tournaments and a new era has begun
More bladers are hosting tournaments nowadays and there has only been that one incident since Deikailo's last tournament
We have to forget about the old New York and welcome the new one that is run by a more professional group of bladers instead of only one blader

Amazing that so many people wanted to host tournaments in New York....and only 5 people?

Someone needs to learn to advertise that there a tournament going on here and there. otherwise your short and have to postpone/cancel the tournament.

Now if i were a NYC resident I would obviously make tournament every month.

Also...champ Deikailo gets so many people per tournament she host, is she sells things and have spare parts for bladers and new bladers. Other then her scamming the seller/middleman. Alot people would obviously rely on her as a host.
Even though Deikailo did a lot of sly things, she did have good advertising ideas like hosting in PS63 and King's Games.
Well when ever the next tournament is. I'm down for.it. I been itching to blade.

And all the other tournaments except [Pyro]'s and laidbackblader's in New York had messed-up results often with no proper finals.

And some of them did not even use legal stadiums.

And some hosts other than Deikailo disappeared with the money and were never heard of again.

Honestly, I have no idea how you could even question something I say like that. I obviously know more about what has happened in all those years in New York than you, so just believe me. I have always done what is best for this organisation, and each region has to be treated case by case. New York cannot afford other failures, this is final.
Guys, I really wish joseph317 and I could help. Unfortunately, I work almost all weekends. Especially in the winter. Sad, because we live right on the border of New York and New Jersey. Maybe in the spring :-)
