TOURNAMENT REFERAL CONTEST!
In an effort to make this as big as possible, I'm instating a tournament referal contest. The person to get the most referrals for NEW WBO members at the date of the tournament will recieve a FREE Flame Byxis 230WD OR Quetzalcoatl 90WF - your choice! - at the start of the tournament. I will keep a tally of how many new sign-ups and at the end of tournament registration, I will announce the winner. Keep 'em coming!

Hey, guys and gals! It's going to be my 21st birthday in two weeks and I wanted to celebrate it by doing what I love most. This is an open invitation indoor tournament with a $5 entry fee additional to the WBO fees. The winner of the tournament will recieve a gift certificate to the store in the amount collected. Also, there's pocky for sale.

SO IN OTHER WORDS:
Entry + purchase of a passport = $15 fee
Entry + one time WBO tournament fee = $10
Entry + existing passport = $5

You pay $5 on top of the WBO's fee. Passports are one year unlimited admissions to any WBO event around the world. They cost $10 for the entire year. If you do not plan on attending more events, you may pay the WBO $5 for this one time. On top of what you pay the WBO, you have to pay $5 to the store for the use of their space, however, that $5 per person is counted as store credit, which the total amount will be given to the first place winner.

Time: Noon
Date: January 23rd, 2011
Place: Kings Games in Brooklyn, NY
(directions are available on their website)
Format: Block Round Robin

If the store manager sees that the attendence is high, we can discuss future organized game play as a regular venue. The store has been nominated for best organized gameplay and they are looking to collect video of this tournament to be featured if they win the award. So...

Let's make this big so we can have a Beyhangout!

Yeah, pretty much. Not many people have them so it shouldn't be a problem. He works at a hotel registration desk and he's majoring in hotel hospitality if this gives you any idea of his qualification.

nah, i wasn't really questioning it... i was just wonder i he was gonna be keeping track of everything.... unlike ikki.....
We both take each other's interests very seriously and very personally. He knows this is important to me so he will be extremely careful.
deikailo do you have an extra seat to take jersey kids to the tourney
I can make one if I REALLY have to...

I wish my family was like that. They think beyblade is a pointless waist of time... Crying
I got really scared. I had a dream that beyblade was real, and there was this evil guy at the tournament that uses a beyblade that kills people...In the end the last 5 of us put our efforts in and fuse our beyblades to beat him. Then i woke up to find out it was Thursday, and it was all a lie. For future tournaments, should we work on something that explains how a beyblade tournament works? that would be easier if there are going to be tournaments at different hobby stores. It could be a pamphlet or something.

After we do this segment on live stream and this tournament goes smoothly, I wanted to do sort of a special on how to host and promote a tournament. Mostly geared toward suburban areas since they have less people and need help.
I haven't been at this thread for some time so just so I can make sure I understand:

1. The tournament has been changed from Round Robin to Double Elimination.

2. Sign up starts at 12:00 and playing starts at 1:00.

And a question:

How many stadiums do we have, and are any of them Balance Stadiums? How many games will be played at one time?

Thanks Joyful_2 See you guys at Kings Games!!!
It's only switching to double elim once we get past 36.

Get there by noon because 1pm is not a definite time. If I see that nobody comes in after noon, then tournament starts at a quarter after.

Going to ask Bluezee to bring his Balance, but as it looks now, it's attack. Super attack is too super for me.

Darkbladea, how many people are coming with you?

There is me, crayzeperson, and my dad. I couldn't find anyone to come with me T^T

I never really liked the Super Attack Stadium, and my attack type is dead in the Balance Stadium. <Just my opinion

If you're coming by car, bring quarters for the meters.
Lol, I'm going by car but my Dad is just leaving me there until I call him to pick me up. (I've been to KG so many times before he trusts me to stay by myself)

We were willing to walk the few blocks to park our car at one of the parking garages near Kings Games. ^>^
I don't think they have parking garages in Sheapshead Bay... either way, the meters are like, 25 cents for 20 minutes. It's dirt cheap and you can normally get a spot in front of the store.

BUT DON'T ANY OF YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT TAKING MY SPOT

I don't want to carry my prizes so far Unhappy
We beyblade for the spot, just don't break it with your bey-spirit.

I keed I keed. Lol, so how many toysrus bags did/are you need to carry all the prizes? XD

parking loc: 1685 East 15 Street, NY 11229 (Kings Games)

I searched this on Google Maps. My dad doesn't care about the price, he just doesn't want to park on the streets. He thinks it would be hard to find a good spot anyway. I don't mind walking either XD. crayzeperson on the other hand...

Tell me if I have the Kings Games adress all wrong, in case we end up going to some random store Joyful_2
That's right. I've never seen a parking garage either by Kings Games, but I guess I never went there lol
im not sure if my parents will exactly let me in a stranger's car so imma ask but just wanted dto know b4 i asked

Uuum one TRU bag, the box that game with my Xsjado Skates is holding the TT prizes, and I need another bag for the auctioned stadiums... then I need another bag for my personal stadiums, a bag for my laptop, a should for my beyblade case, and then everything else like balloons and cake.

I remember when I didn't have to work on my birthday week...Mine was on the 13th, and 13 is an unlucky number after all (especially since I turned 13)...

The parking garage is around two corners so it seems pretty close..if anyone doesn't want to struggle with parking, follow my lead XD
Parking is very easy there...

Well I don't live there so I wouldn't know XD. We want to play it safe is all. It just seems like the roads would fill up quick with 30+ people going into one building at once.
not if many of them take public transit like me OSmile
Jon, remember to get there an hour early.
Watcha guys doing an hour early, setting up? I can help, so can sky since he said hes coming early too
