1/2/2011- (New York City, NY)Beyhold! New York Actually Does Something! Tournament
It's been quite a while since NYC bladers had a chance to come and compete in a SUCCESSFUL, FAIR, AND LEGITIMATE tournament. Deikailo(a female blader! woo hoo!!!) has decided to create a tournament. With the help of Cye and Me, we look to make this one of the best, spur of the moment tournaments NYC/NJ has ever seen. It is rare that we get to attend tournaments so lets make this a great one. Bring your best. Here is the format. THIS IS AN MFB TOURNAMENT
Format: Standard MFB FORMAT
This tournament will be done by Block Round Robin. Bladers will be paired up at the tourney at random but to ensure fairness, we will pair you based on skill level if possible. This gives everyone a fighting chance.
Current Venue: Union Square , NYC, NY by the George Washington Statue
Time: 2:00pm
Deikailo will be picking some bladers up and providing transportation to avoid buses and trains that may become very expensive. Gas money would be required for participants that need a ride but it is much cheaper this way, trust me.
Stadiums Being Used: TT Attack Stadium and TT Balance Stadium
More than likely, TT Attack Stadium will be used the most but if there is enough people that consent on only using the Balance stadium, that could be used as well. Only legal stadiums are permitted during the tourney but free play will allow any stadium to be used.
THERE WILL BE FREE PLAY IN THIS TOURNEY! BRING ANY BLADES YOU WANT. NOTE: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING UP WITH YOUR BEYBLADES AT ANY POINT IN TIME. TAKE CARE OF YOUR STUFF. JUST BECAUSE WE ARE BEYBLADING DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO BE CARELESS.
Prizes:
1st place: Libra (unopened purple)
2nd place: Mad Cancer (unopened)
3rd place: Capricorne (preHWS)
I found more unopened TT MFBs. I have L L Drago unopened, a second Capricorne, Virgo wheel, additional Libra wheel, and a Leone wheel.
These prizes may also come with extra beys, parts, accessories, etc.!
There may be MORE prizes if we have more attendants. The more we have, the bigger the prizes GUARANTEED!
More information will be posted in the next 24 hours. Please keep yourself posted if you are planning to attend and post here.

(Jan. 02, 2011 2:21 AM)Sky Prince Wrote: oh and suggestion... i suggest you make it a double elimination. that way it's more fair... If you lose once you have a chance to redeem yourself and make it in 1st place in the loser's bracket... if you don't know how the loser's bracket runs, i can show you... unless it's the timing you're worried about... in that case, forget what i suggested....Oh trust me, I know how to structure double elimination. Even Brad will admit I'm amazing at that.
It depends what Kai-V approves of and how many people attend.

this is spam don't do it again or you could have a chance at getting a warning, also will anyone be selling metal face bolts
Okay guys, I'm calling Bluezee and then going to bed. I'm basically a zombie after working all last night. I think I've help arrange as much as I could for transportation. Everyone should have my phone number by now. If you have any questions or problems, call me. I'm an early riser.
I ask that everyone just remains patient and understanding with the tournament organisers. If you are worried about paying "for nothing" if you paid at previous tournaments that were not approved in the end, then leave comprehensible information on how we can get back to you, such as your parent's or your Paypal address if you have one. Hopefully nothing wrong should happen this time, but if you want to take precautions, go ahead.
Finally, everyone should make sure to read the Rules for Organized Play before the tournament.

I think both MorningMess and Ikki had sent us the money collected at the previous tournaments, but it seems only one of them sent a list of those who had purchased Blader Passports, or none at all. Had we had more time we would have done as promised and really tried to find out who went and paid at the last two events so the organisers of this tournament could know who already paid and could participate for free now, but we really do not have this data, for the moment at least.

meaning..... we don't have to pay.... or we still do?

I live in NJ and if anyone could help email me.

lol. i don't mean to offend you Kai-V but you kinda used an indirect answer. XD i know its unfair to the people who did pay last tournament to make them pay now and it's not necessarily right to let the other people who didn't attend last tournament to play for free.... but what are we gonna do for the people in general? cause i do feel bad for the people for being so confused about "pay" or "not to pay" at this tournament but what are we gonna do for everyone? i wouldn't be surprised if i got an "i don't know" from you and it's ok... i understand... cause it IS a big predicament.... i was thinking that we'd have an honesty vow that if you went last time, you tell them and if you didn't. you pay... but that's just me thinking hopeful thinking.... then again, we could think in reverse from our original "pay" idea... if we say that the person "did" go last time, we write down the names. and if the name matches the list of names that we get from Ikki (whenever that may be), they check out... however if they lied and said that they did go and it doesn't match Ikki's list of names... they owe u $5.... but... idk, it sounds harsh but that's the only thing i could think of right now.
