i don’t recognize V2 because it looks like a hasbro monkier.  i use vV and you understood me, therefore vV is effective and i will continue using it.

Erm no, that's not how it works. It is just as easy to confuse "vV" with "wV", almost like some sort of typo. In this case, it's an objective fact that Victory Valkyrie is abbreviated as "V2", it's not personal preference.  And there's really no good reason not to say "V2" over "vV", especially since it's more immediately recognized.

I really don't think it's personal opinion on part of TraniacJ.He/She clearly states W-V is wrong.Same goes for vV,its plain wrong,no arguments.Seriously, you living in a free country won't change Victory Valkyrie's official TT abbreviation from V2 to vV.You see, using vV might get wrong ideas around, such as there is a Cho-Z bey.So I advise you to use the correct abbreviations.☺☺?

I’ve seen many abbreviations used, i will use what i choose.  If you don’t like it, i advise you to add me to your ignore list.

Yes, and there really IS only one abbreviation. Because I could just as EASILY call the Guard driver "Gd" instead of "Gr", and it would be exactly the same as calling Victory Valkyrie "vV". People might understand it, but is it right? Not objectively.

Anyway, since this is derailing the thread, I suggest the conversation stops here so we can avoid being out of focus.

I'm actually giving examples as to why I don't think people should alter the abbreviations of parts.

Seriously, just stop. If you want to continue this, take it to PM's.

I agree with you on pretty much everything else around here.  but it’s ok if we disagree here.  If i were to ever feel the need to PM you, it won’t be about something i’ve already decided.
The abbreviation of a part is determined by Takara Tomy, instead of the preference of players. It is true that some people may still understand if you call Victory Valkyrie as vV, but some others might get confused.
Anyway, it is more convenient for all people to understand if we follow a standard rule, isn’t it?

that’s the argument.  it’s a fair point, except there is no WBO forum standard rule.  if there was one, i’d follow it.  for me it’s vV, that’s what I will use.
It's not a point, it's a fact, you don't use xX for Xeno Xcalibur, or sS for Strom Spriggan right? It doesn't make any sense

no, actually i do use those abbreviations.  it makes perfect sense to me, and they are my posts.  feel free to use whatever abbreviations you choose in your posts.  there is nothing that says you can’t.

Why you believe that WBO forum has priorities to WBBA and TT? WBO is based on beyblade, which is created and produced by Takara Tomy in the very beginning, and indeed we need to follow these rules no matter whether it is made by TT or WBO. Moreover, following the rules could make communication easier without too much confusion, right?

I understand this is a forum and people argue about things like this in forums. so please make sure you understand i intend no malice towards anyone (ever).

however there is no WBBA or TT rule saying what abbreviations must be used, you are assuming there is.  if not, i didn’t agree to it, unlike how i agreed to follow the WBO forum rules here when i signed up.

further, we are talking about two completely different principles here.  that’s ok with me, but i hope you can understand.  i live in a country where i am free to communicate the way i want to, and that’s what i will continue to do.

You can communicate the way you want to, no one can stop you from doing that, but when you confuse the people with these abbreviations, that's where the problem starts.. Like Jinbee stated, vV and wV might look like a typing error but they are totally different..
After all, these abbreviations were made to make our work easy and cause less confusion, what these variable abbreviations will cause is more confusion, that's why these abbreviations are uniform for everyone..
So, please cooperate..

i'll take your request into consideration, the last thing i’d ever want is to confuse anyone.  however completely eliminating that (entirely theoretical) risk is impossible, of course.

While, "entirely theoretical" risks are impossible, there are still a 0.001 chance of it..
Now, here is an example:
The abbreviation of spriggan Requiem is Sr, and now what your point is that you can use/make up abbreviation of your choice, so a person might end up making it sR.. But sR actually stands for shelter regulus.. Thus causing confusion..
It would be Like,
Person 1: hey, Sr is a cool beyblade!
Person 2(who uses sR as an abbreviation for the very same beyblade):  yeah sR is really a cool beyblade
Person 1 ( thinking that he is talking about shelter regulus): No! I said Sr is a cool beyblade!!
Thus, causing a whole lot of confusion.. ending up in a ridiculous debate where both the people are talking about the same beyblade but don't realise it..
Thus, using uniform abbreviations is better in the long run!
But, thank you for your cooperation and understanding! Appreciate it!

Ok ok, lets not fire too many accusations. We all have our personal opinions but I advise that if you really want to argue then take it to PMs. If they want to use different abbreviations that's O.K so long as they understand that it may be misunderstood due to it being different from what the majority uses.

Nobody is forcing you to use Abbreviations,  but if you do use them, please use the right ones.vV will never mean anything in Beyblade language,Vict Valkyrie will also be V2.

It's really simple guys... If he wants to use VV let him use VV end of story.
Mods said twice to take further conversation on abbreviation correctness to PMs. Those aren't PMs, hahaha.

But there isn't anything else to talk about, so lets see if I can do something about that. Get this topic train back on the rails.

I think RedPanda2 made a really interesting observation in another thread that I think may be worth discussing here. Are Super Z beys poorly designed? What do we think by what we know?

I'm wondering if a good portion of this has to do with promoting desire of the level chip. But that doesn't account for 12. Did they just screw up at the factory? Did they not test without frames? Although the factory bit isn't 100% avoidable, something more like the latter is a rather big screwup.

We can only speculate, but yeah.

(Mar. 30, 2018  7:26 AM)RedPanda2 Wrote: [ -> ]but i must say, assuming 12 is so ridiculously poorly designed (which i do), i cant help but feel a little worried about the potential lack of testing on the whole super-z line so far...

not for damage to beys, but just for balance and general design as part of a system.

i love the look of super-z, and I admit my expectations were very high, but i am underwhelmed by the line so far in terms of performance.

so i wonder if this issue with 12 being poorly designed indirectly represents a larger failing for the current super-z?

I've also been thinking about the new gimmicks. I really hope July New (B-117) won't be the actual first instance. Did it take TT that long to introduce God Gimmicks? I'm thinking no, going by the anime.
Maybe they don't want to eclipse yet the god gen and give us better releases by power/weight creeping and balancing the next month releases
