Well, they were pre-order items. Time for pre-orders is over. He might've only gotten a certain amount, due to people asking for it during the pre-order period.
Probably means that he has to wait awhile now to be able to get his hands on some more.

You said the pre-order period is over, it is not. I said the pre-orders are likely to be taken (still accessible to put your interest down), there will always be space for reserves.
