The WBO arent strict, look i've been warned 1/10 (10%). That was for advertising those dragon eggs on my post and just saying 'lol' on the post as well which was a stupid idea.

I dot hink we can be harsh at times, i have seen many a pointless post in my opinion go unwarned by forum veterans and have a newbie warned for an act that is much less well breaking the rules and get warned or told off by other members

When you see a pointless post, report it.

in my oppinion i don't mind if they are strict as long as they are leeping this cool forum
Strict and it need to be but mods need to more polite and stop saying any very bad custom horrible.they can say that its nt good.

If they were simply not good, they would say so. Most of the combo's you and others have posted that have been criticised WERE horrible.
There is a difference between being outclassed or generally "not good" and being a trainwreck of parts that should never be combined.
Still they need to be polite.and they are just beginers.

Most of what you've posted have been middling combinations, some have been horrid, some have been slightly less than perfect. Either way, you should learn the difference between honest criticism and being "mean".
I feel like we are just going around in circles in this discussion. There is always some person who says that we are mean or strict or something and then we just all say the same thing that we have been saying to everyone. Does anyone else agree, or have you noticed that? This is just what I have been seeing in this thread.
Opinions will always be divided, and how people act is unlikely to change rapidly, if at all, depending how "normal" it has become. Every change will have tradeoffs, and I personally think we already have a good balance.
I try to pay more attention to who feels what, anyway.

Are they strict? Naw, they just get rid of this spam and unnecessary nuisance the WBO is hit with. They don't stretch the rules either.

^This is probably the smartest thing I've read all day so far.. and that's saying a lot considering all the mind numbing classes I've had today.
We should appreciate them for wat they have done thus far..keeping this whole forum discipline is not an easy job.

I agree with this point too. However many people get warned easily. Chances should be given before warning.
We basically SPAM you to ask you to read the rules on more than one occasion. To me, that is already a lot of "pre-warning" ...
Before, when we only had one hundred Members and that very few of those were kids, we could afford to be really relaxed except for the occasional fighting over some stupid things, but now we cannot have this vision anymore.
It would be good if the things you can be warned for were more specific, eg the "nicknames" and "calling recoil good" things, should be written into the rules and made very clear before warnings are handed out.
A number of good users are somewhat scared to post because of how easy it is to get warned for simply making errors, which is really just part of being human, or for saying things which they don't realise they will be warned for.
But it's like this place voids the fun and sociability by being so hard-arsed with the rules. Even if you step half an inch over the line of what the topic is about, everyone jumps on you with the whole "WE HAVE A RECENT PURCHASE TOPIC YOU KNOW!" - and Kai-V, the amount of times I've seen you say "do not speculate" - Why the hell not?! What harm does it actually do?! I think it's impractical to say things like that, as it makes this place less of a community, and more North-Korea.
I think the "higher ups" of this place need to lighten up, loosen up and let the true community do what they're supposed to do, which is socialize.

Just to clarify, the moderator notes you guys see, attached to posts from time to time, do not always mean warnings. They are just 'notes = reminders'.
In fact, the huge majority of those moderator notes are simply that, just reminders to the poster with 0% warning. For a large scale fan-based forum, the number of actual warnings given daily are actually very low, and this is a good thing.
Of course, there will be cases where a user or two might feel that they were given a warning unfairly. Feel free to PM us and discuss your situation or reasons behind it.

There are topics for almost everything, so yes, if you want to post about something that you recently bought, then logically you should use the Recent Purchases thread ?
I do not think you have seen the sort of speculations that have happened in the past ... At some point, SPAM is SPAM. If all we know is, for instance, "CF", then people can speculate all year long, but in the end, only one post might have been correct, and all of the others were pointless ... If that one post that is correct can just be the one post where someone actually confirms what the letters stand for based on official evidence, then fifty posts could have been saved. People are already complaining that the topics have too many pages, are too hard to read, they do not know where to find the good information within it, etc., and while us updating the first posts is part of the issue, surely you can agree that another huge part of the problem is the fact that we still allow many posts that are not that needed, and people who want to find information are discouraged just by seeing that a topic has five pages ...
