So, mother of two boys who have discovered bey blades. Actually, they seemed like a good idea as a stocking stuffer after I heard about them on NPR so I bought a couple, and there have been a few more purchases since too.
As they don't have friends who blade, I've had to take on the research role here ( which is OK, it's what I like to do) and a Google search brought me here. I've found a lot of really unseful information here too - like how to avoid fakes on e-Bay ( those boxes look pretty good too, I would have fallen for 'em ) and we're all working on our sliding shot. There's still a ton to figure out, but we'll get there. Hope to recruit some of his friends to take the load off, but frankly, they're fun to play with, so I don't mind that much.
Oh! Just won an old Japanese Fighting Top or Beigoma on e-Bay. Figure it will be cool to show them the roots of this game - that is if I can figure out how to do the string wrap and rip thing.
