WBO Partners With Organized Play Events to Support Competitive Beyblade in the UK

We're excited to announce our partnership with Organized Play Events to support their Beyblade X Competitive Circuit UK!

UK bladers might already be aware of OPE's competitive circuit, which is leading up to a National Championship later this year — and several of their events have appeared on worldbeyblade.org already, run by WBO Organizers. For the next season of OPE's Competitive Circuit UK, we're collaborating even more closely to deliver the best experience for bladers.

Firstly: all tournaments in the circuit will also be WBO Ranked events!
We've created a custom version of the WBO rulebook specifically for this circuit:
https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblad...K-Rulebook

These rules are our base rules for best-of-1 3on3 matches with the following optional rules directly integrated into the core rules:
  • Own finish
  • Locked Bey list
  • Out-of-bounds spin finish
  • No painted parts

Additionally, one unique rule has been added for this circuit: bladers reveal their entire Bey list at the start of Bey selection.

To ensure a consistent play experience during and across events, judges in OPE's Competitive Circuit UK will also now be required to become WBO Certified Judges.

Finally, while the UK circuit originally only used Hasbro's Xtreme BeyStadium, Takara Tomy stadiums are now allowed to be used going forward! However, all stadiums at an event must be the same.

We'll be following this circuit closely and regularly getting feedback from bladers, judges, and organizers.

Organized Play Events regularly organizes competitive events on behalf of trading card and tabletop game publishers. To our knowledge, this is the first time an organization focused on competitive gaming events has taken an interest in supporting Beyblade. We're super excited for this partnership, and will continue to look for other opportunities to deliver exciting events to bladers worldwide!

Note: The World Beyblade Organization and Organized Play Events are unaffiliated with Tomy, Hasbro, T-Licensing Inc, ADK Emotions Inc, or any other official Beyblade license holders.
Can't wait to see all of the Winning Combos from the UK!
Really excited to see WBO supporting the OPE events. Bit of a shaky start as the UK started to organize and standardize the scene but OPE adapted to the feedback well and this version looks solid. Hopefully we can keep pushing and get a ton of great events going in the UK alongside all the great work the organizers are already doing.

We've really enjoyed working with OPE so far and as you said, have found them super adaptable to feedback. We'll also be actively gathering feedback from players in these events and will continue to support OPE and making these the best events possible! If you ever have feedback, don't hesitate to reach out.

I won the last Store Championships of Q1 before the partnership with WBO! Here’s the deck I played:
Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Glide
Wizard Rod 9-60 Ball
Phoenix Wing 1-60 Rush
Golem Rock 9-70 Unite

Golem was MVP of the day by a long shot!
