Here's to a Bey-ry good new year! Since the attempt on the 20th flopped let's hope this date works better for everyone! As added motivation if we reach 15 attendees I'll either raffle off or give away as a prize a Takara Tomy Orange F230!

Hey Mid-Atlantic Bladers! Long time no see! I'm back from college and my Beys are itching to play. Now, with Arupaeo gone, our hotel tournaments are no longer a possibility, but luckily enough, Game On! Comics just across the Maryland border in Vienna, VA has offered to become our winter tournament host. This is a very exciting time for our area as this could possibly turn into something similar to what NC has at Game Theory. Team GO anyone? Anyways, I would love to see as much of the blader gang as possible and hopefully a few new faces as well. Now, as has become customary at my events, it's time to go big or go home. So, this time around, that means a limited tournament, a standard team tournament , and the format of my creation, tag team played in your choice this time around.

And here's the description of Tag Team:
2 v 2 matches, first team to win 5 rounds advances. This will be double elimination. Your partner will be randomly selected. The winning team will then play each other in one more 5/9 matchwith the blader taking the majority of rounds winning the stadium.

Now, let's move into the nitty gritty.

thunder put it correct.
If we changed it to regular standard would you guys show up?
I mean we can't do team anyways without you considering that it requires 12 people.

If someone from NC would ride with me and go half on gas id drive up there. I just cant afford gas there and back right now.
It looks like I'm not going to be able to make it to this one. I've been trying to convince my dad to take me all week but it's simply to far away. Hope it goes well.
Which tournament(S) are being done exactly? I kinda need to know ASAP.
Limited, either standard or team standard (depending on # of people and what they want to do), Plastics Tag Team

SO about 3 tourneys in one day?
Like 2 and a half since tag team is double elimination.

OH i see. Hmm. I dont think I could make it. I have an engagement at home around 6pm. so...
You could duck out before tag team and make it no problem. We'll be through limited in about an hour and a half and standard in about the same.

One of the worst days I've had in a while personally (guess I'm a bit rusty), but a fun experience hopefully for everyone. We ended up with 9 players in limited, 10 in standard, and a bit of a cheerleading section made up of ksaaadia and lawesomeness's friends.

In Limited
1st Sniper
2nd geetster99
3rd lawesomeness

In Standard
1st Stars
2nd geester99
3rd beymaster15963

Winning combos will be posted shortly.
Cool, I am really glad this worked out. It is good to see people from Maryland still being active too.
I wish I had came. But the weather and a morning appointment got in the way.
Sounds like it worked out great! Disappointed that I couldn't make it.

Congrats to the placers!
Hm, I cannot really process this tournament before I know for sure if Stars' event in November 2014 did have a tiebreaker in the Limited format before the finals ... It makes all the difference and a lot of players are similar between this tournament and his.

@[Kai-V] I wish there was something I could do about it. Is is just Stars' lack of response or is the data actually non-existent?
The data is nonexistent and nobody from the tournament seems to be able to confirm if a tiebreaker was done for the Limited format.
@[Kai-V] Would it be that critical of a thing if one match simply did not go into the beypoints system, I understand the importance of fair play and all, but maybe in the interest of moving forward a special exception could be made?
I would have to scrape the whole finals of that event and remove the Credits and Faces that are usually obtained by the top three, so I want to make sure no one remembers anything.
@[Kai-V] I think it might be time to do so.

For some reason I'm getting an error when I try to open this on Google Sheets. Does that happen to you?
Alright, the Limited format event has been processed. I will process the Standard format tournament, but since I have had very bad experiences, can someone just verify that there are no mistakes, hah ?
I don't know what type of mistakes you are talking about, but I'm 95% certain I entered everything right. @[Kai-V]
