Tournament Spectator

I was just curious as to whether a friend of mine could come to a tournament as a spectator, if so would they need to pay to get in still?

Most tournaments don't cost money so there shouldn't be a problem with them spectating. My friend only goes to tourneys to watch me and no ones ever had an issue.
