<---- my time is wrong its 11:01 right now lol XD
kool kid the more players (most wont show up) the better
sucht as mayby 15 rounds of red robin
What you do is, If there are like 20 + people, do 4 blocks of round robin
40+ people, you do blocks of round robin, THEN double elimination brackets.
Then doing it.
Doing the block system round robin would, i think, be easier.
Taking the best 1 from each block if there are many blocks, and do a double elimination, creates more battles, and more fun. May take a bit longer but the sun stays out for a fairly long time ^^
Just saying I may arrive there early at around 11:30.

Double Elimination is not that confusing, or hard, to be honest. You just need to set things up properly.
I don't think we should start mixing formats.

So just do round robin for the whole thing?
If so, I think that would be a little unfair.
Sorry for double post.

Well, if we did top 2 of each block, and there were say 7 blocks, you would do 14 people into the next round, Which isn't really needed, Especially if your trying to cut it short time-wise.

Not just that,.
Say, in the first part of the tourny, 7 Block round robin.
Picking the best 2 from each block
4 people went 5-0
6 went 4-1
and 2 went 3-2
The next part would be exactly the same as the first part. You would disregard their ranks in the tournament, and play another round robin, Giving the people they shouldn't face, Like a 5-0 guy facing another 5-0 guy or a 4-1, a chance to beat them.
Then, you would also be prone to ties, maybe 3 or more ties, making another round robin.
If there were more then three guys, you would also be prone to having all of them go 1-1, solving nothing
Or, if a guy did go 2-0, the last tournament they made a very small mistake by making the guy who went 2-0 face a guy he already beat for third place when it was a three-way-tie. So it is prone for confusion as well.
We're staying with Double Elmination and that's it really.
