Yeah, it's an official event. Sorry you can't make it to Fray. =/
Uhh if it's official shouldn't this be in the upcoming events list?

I assume a mod hasn't edited the box yet. It was moved to the official events forum. It is an official event.

Yeah this was my confusion too. As am I actually Daegor I was looking forward to the first fan run event outside of Kei and Khel or Brad doing it, but it's probably for the best. Gives me more time to practice. I don't want my score dropping lower. Also I should have my order from Dimsum by this one too.
That's fine. Should I take you off the list for Fray then?
I just added this tournament to the Upcoming Events list.

Thanks Kai ^~^
Sweet! Now that you've changed the date, I will more than likely be able to attend this. Put me down as a possible attendee for now. It's so great to see you guys stepping up to host tournaments; the Toronto Beyblade community truly is the best! Grin

What was "off" with it? It was Round Robin Block System and everything happened as it should have. Obviously every tournament is going to run into some sort of confusion at some point, but it was fairly minimal at HPT2.

And what do you mean "right ranking"? Doing it randomly is the fairest, quickest, and least complicated way to do it. Of course it is always preferable to have all of the experienced players split into different blocks so that they don't have to knock each other out in an early round, but what I don't think would be fair is manipulating anything so that the "best" Bladers would be divided. That being said, I do think most of the blocks did turn out quite balanced, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

His dad was talking to me about it during the tournament. Remember the round robin to determine who would fight for third/fourth? kool-kid's dad was saying that since he beat the fourth place guy to get to the fight, he should have been given a by (is that the right spelling?) and been declared third on the spot.

No matter what happened, because there was three people, one person was going to win both of their matches. I understand his logic, but the point of that round robin was to determine who would face each other for third/fourth, it didn't matter who beat who in it. It wouldn't have mattered if it had been a four way tie for those spots instead of three; a round robin would have been done to determine who faced who in the third/fourth match. There always has to be a first/second match, and a third/fourth match. I don't see how giving someone a by into one of those spots would be fair.

And besides this, I'm sure there were plenty of instances where someone beat another person earlier in the tournament, or in the final eight round robin, yet what mattered in the end was their overall record. That's the point of Round Robin.

Anyways, let's get back on-topic here. kool-kid, if there is anything else you can feel free to PM me.

The HPT2 tournament system was a little off, like my dad was telling me. I have a better and fair way of dividing and putting people in the right ranking.
Also, MIGHT even put up some prizes of my own.

You should at least take time to read the first post.
