The road to the Grand Battle begins! Toronto Bladers, this is your chance to earn paid travel expenses (if necessary) to ANIME NORTH, along with an AN Pass to play in the WBO North American Championship, GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2!!
Location:
We'll be playing in the shelter where we usually play. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. If you have any questions about the location, please post here! This map has the area we'll be playing in roughly outlined:
Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Qualifier Series tournament), and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:
- +1 Extra Credit to be used for prizes from our awesome Blader Rewards, on top of whatever they would have normally earned.
- One of these Face Boosters:
-Face Booster RED [Image: faceboosterred.png]
-Face Booster BLUE [Image: faceboosterblue.png]
-Face Booster GREEN [Image: faceboostergreen.png]
-Face Booster ORANGE [Image: faceboosterorange.png]
-Face Booster YELLOW [Image: FaceBoosterIconYellow.png]
-Face Booster PURPLE [Image: FaceBoosterIconPurple.png]
-Stone Face Booster AMETHYST [Image: vszk.png]
-Stone Face Booster SAPPHIRE [Image: 7kje.png]
-Stone Face Booster EMERALD [Image: 9wl8.png]
-Stone Face Booster RUBY [Image: 1g30.png]
-Stone Face Booster ONYX [Image: 4dtz.png]
- New Passport Holders will earn +2 Extra Credits, rather than +1, 2 Face Boosters from the list above, rather than just 1, and they will be entered into an exclusive Passport Holder Only BeyLotto! View the full announcement here for details!
What can I win?
The winner of this qualifier will receive the following:
- Paid travel expenses, by plane/bus/public transit (if necessary, and whichever is cheapest) to ANIME NORTH 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2.
- An ANIME NORTH 2014 Pass

I will be making more of the tournaments now but obviously not very often since it costs a lot. i have 700$ saved up for Anime North and i don't know if i want to waste most of it just to make it to this tournament.
Ha, taking a taxi would be silly. If you want, PM me and I can help you map out the route using TTC from wherever you are. It shouldn't be that hard, honestly!

Anyways, I'm glad to see you attend another event, 1234beyblade. It's been since September since you attended one.

See you there! Also, I'm curious, how did you find out about this tournament and our site? This goes for any other new Bladers who plan on attending as well.

$50?! Why is your Mom charging you? You could probably get to High Park via TTC bus/subway with like $3 depending on where you're coming from.

Well she kinda hates when i ask her to take me since we live 50km away from high park... but yeah we could discuss the bus thing over pm so i could make every tournament!
I won't be getting any footage, due to my camera breaking.
I'll try my best to place, and get the pass. Cause you know, 14th times the charm!
See you all then!
Don't forget to win that AN pass Kei!

There's no need!
By the way, guys, can you please try to arrive at or before 1PM. Normally we are not very strict with when people show up, but I have to catch a flight tomorrow night and would appreciate it if we could get through the tournament at a reasonable pace from the actual start time listed in the opening post for once. It's possible we could still add you in if you show up late, but having everyone there from the beginning would make things go more smoothly. Thanks, and see you all tomorrow!

Congratulations again guys! and good luck to all those participating!!
It's a North American Championship–and our second one at that–but it's still pretty awesome! It's too bad that you can't come tomorrow, but hopefully you can make it out to our tournaments this summer.
