BEYBLADE CRUSADE
SATURDAY, MAY 28, 2011
Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel - Muskoka 3 Room
hosted by AN GAMING @ Anime North 2011

STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - Registration for BEYBLADE CRUSADE: Wake Up Call
10:30 AM - BEYBLADE CRUSADE: Wake Up Call

11 AM - Registration for Bladers who have signed up and paid online
11:30 AM - General Registration for BEYBLADE CRUSADE
12:30 PM - BEYBLADE CRUSADE

For the past three years we've hosted our marquee tournament at ANIME NORTH–BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! in 2008, BEYBLADE WAR ROOM in 2009, BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP in 2010–and this year will be no different! In association with the AN GAMING division of AN2011 we will be hosting our tournament this year under the title, BEYBLADE CRUSADE!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention. However, if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments with even better prizes in the future, and participate in the BeyPoints ranking System in future tournaments, then you will need one! So, if you wish to purchase one at the tournament, that is still possible. To participate in the tournament, you must either purchase a weekend pass or a day pass at AN (if you wish to participate in all of the events and programming that AN has to offer), or alternatively, AN has graciously created a special $6 ticket this year for people who want to participate only in BEYBLADE CRUSADE.

You can sign up/purchase your ticket here: http://www.formstack.com/forms/?1062968-hwu8IOQkLu

Once purchased, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. On the day of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, present this confirmation to the person registering everyone and you will be given some sort of identification (probably a stamp or wristband).

The people who choose to sign up online and pay their fee can register half an hour prior to general registration. When general registration for people who have not signed up online begins, a second line for the people who did sign up/pay online will be formed as well in case they chose not to arrive earlier. As you can imagine, this second line for people who have signed up/paid already will move quite quickly. So, it is to your advantage to sign up/pay in advance!

The AN tournament has become a tradition of sorts, and while what we've accomplished in the past three years has been great … we are not going to rest on our laurels this time around! We're going to take this tournament to the next level.

How so, you ask? In an effort to build awareness and excitement for BEYBLADE CRUSADE this May we are going to be hosting three tournaments in the upcoming months under the name "BEYBLADE CRUSADE RECRUITMENT SESSIONS". Here's how each of them is going to work:

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 1 - March 26, 2011
  • 15 participant limit
  • Round Robin
  • Top two finishers gain the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top two finishers from Recruitment Session: 1: Kei & !!!

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 2 - April 30, 2011
  • 30 participant limit
  • Block Round Robin
  • Top two finishers gain the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top two finishers from Recruitment Session: 2: Xman8024 & Pyro

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 3 - May 15, 2011
  • No limit on participants
  • Single elimination
  • First place finisher gains the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top finisher from BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 3: ElJihado

Hopefully the possibility of gaining this slight advantage in BEYBLADE CRUSADE will be enticing for you all! Along with BeyPoints, Faces, and prizes, of course. And as you can see, it becomes more difficult to procure the aforementioned ability with each tournament that passes. Additionally, the order in which the top finishers choose who they face in that first round will be according to which tournament they placed in, but reversed (ex. If you come in first place at the first Recruitment Session, then you will have the last choice of who you want to face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE. This way, even if someone else picks you, you can still choose not to face them if you do not want to, thus nullifying their choice, forcing them to choose someone else).

Will you be at AN on Friday night? If so, then you might want to check out our other tournament, BEYBLADE CRUSADE: Roll Call!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend BEYBLADE CRUSADE, hosted by AN GAMING! With Beyblade's popularity continuing to rise, and our efforts to make this an even bigger tournament than it has ever been in the past, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come to BEYBLADE CRUSADE, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

can you put me on the attendence list thanks
So I bought the $6 ticket online, therefore please move me to the Attending list. Thank you.

Also, can you please add The Problem for all Crusade events? He's coming with me. Grin

There won't be an "attendance list" because it is first come, first served. I'm not reserving any spots because I'm sure some people won't wake up on time lol.

Done!

Nice! You need to come to more of our tournaments aside from the AN ones. Tongue_out
For the $6 ticket, will it be available to pick up at the hotel, near the tournament itself? Or is it only at the convention centre?
The AN Schedule has been out for a few days! Once you download it, scroll down to the fifth page and you'll see the tournament listed among all of the other gaming events (the tournament is in red, which apparently indicates that it is a "highlight event"?!). For some reason they've put it down as Beyblade Revival Cup, but I'm seeing if that can be fixed haha.

Also, it seems as if they've moved us to the Muskoka 3 Room, as opposed to the Muskoka 2 Room which I was originally told. Unless Ron tells me otherwise, assume that BEYBLADE CRUSADE will now be held in the Muskoka 3 Room.

I'm not actually sure what it will be; it could be a ticket, a wristband, a stamp, etc, but you'll be able to pick it up at the tournament itself! Grin

Read what he wrote in bold, kiddo. We're in room 3 ;p

Otherwise just listen for the ripcords.
Just checked the homepage of the AN website and saw this:

AN Website Homepage Wrote:BeyBlade Preview

From Corus Entertainment and YTV, a sneak peek of the second season of Beyblade, the adventure continues! Saturday at 12 PM in the International C Room of the Doubletree Hotel.

Also, at 6 PM in the International Cl, catch the Season finale!

Really, Corus Entertainment/YTV? Serious

I say we send a few people over there just before 12 to steal away as many Beyblade fans as we can. Eee
Take me off of the Attendees list. For some reason I was under the impression Bluezee was going.. :V

What, so you are not going to one of our biggest events just because one person is not going to be there ? Seriously that is a poor reason. It makes everybody else seem like they are not worth your time at all.

Yeah, seriously. Dan, for almost every tournament lately you've said you were coming, but then never show up. I'm sure sometimes the reasons were legitimate, but not coming to BCRS3 (which was held in a shelter) because it was raining lightly, and not coming to the biggest WBO event of the year because one person isn't coming is just ridiculous.

I know you'd have a lot of fun if you would come, so please do. Beyblading by yourself constantly can only be fun for so long!
Haha, not exactly what I meant, though I do understand that some could take it as that, and I do apologize for that. I was looking forward to the tournament, but I have exams and the only reason I would remain an attendee would be to meet that person. There are tons of other tournaments happening in summer anyway, which I do plan on attending. lolbacktrack.

I really was only interested in facing you. Meeting kei and kai-v would have been the only other reason anyway. Spin-Sonic and I were going to go on the megabus to there but there isn't any reason to now. We will talk about it. Just PM me.

Believe me, I had the best intentions for those tournaments, I really did. I do admit a petty excuse for BRS3 though, reasons are reasons. I'll think it over and all, you have compelled me to do so, surprised my response to Kai-V came after yours though. I don't think ever said I was going to BRS2, in any case. I'll give my final verdict by Thursday, I appreciate your welcoming me. Thanks, really.
would itt be ok if i came 2 hours late
I doubt it, we usually tend to start around an hour late for most of our tournaments due to some sort of reason, but I would imagine that this one is going to be more strict time wise.

Yeah, this one will definitely be more strict, especially given that registration is starting well before the 12:30PM start time.
Officially requesting somebody to bring wide square(s) for free play.

Most fun thing of life, I swear to god.

What? Would being late two hours to any other type of event be acceptable? We're not going to stop everything to wait for you, sorry!

Aha, yes, hopefully someone does.
Can you please put me on the "Attendees", I'am 100% I'm coming
ok i have a question

i went to get the $6 ticket for this and while i submitted it, i noticed that it said that it can no longer be purchased after the 25 which was yesterday, so does that mean i cant get the ticket???

and when i went to purchase it, it said that it was sold out but i can get it at anime north itself

Oh, does it? ... Ron must have set that date for some reason. It won't be a problem for you to purchase the ticket at the tournament itself, though.
