BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2010
Anime North 2010 @ Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel

Golden Delicious Room
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - "Beyblade 101" Workshop
11 AM - Free Battle and Registration for Beyblade Revival Cup
12 PM - Beyblade Revival Cup Tournament

In 2008, we hosted the BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! tournament- which was planned well before we knew that just one short year later MFB would be launching in Japan. However, now the time has come for Bladers all across the nation to celebrate the launch of BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION in Canada! Thus, for the third year in a row we will be hosting our marquee event at ANIME NORTH 2010, hosted by ANGaming, this year under the title; BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention, however if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments, with even better prizes in the future, and also participate in our world ranking system, the BeyPoints System, then you will need one!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend! With Beyblade becoming mainstream again, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

BEY MEET-UP - FRIDAY MAY 28TH
6pm @ Doubletree Lobby

For those of you who can make it on Friday, we're planning on having a small meet-up. It shouldn't be too hard to find us; stadiums will be strewn about the floor, and I'll try to get a BEYBLADE BATTLE STATION poster up.

If there is enough people, we could potentially have a single elimination tournament as well (don't want to complicate things for something small like that).

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

Can't read it since I am from usa

And since they are "covering" it I say have signs for the website all over so people will see it. I don't think they will photoshop it out lol.
Ha and you never know if yall show your vast amount knowledge to them you never know might get a job.

"Check out BEYBLADE at Anime North

Check out BEYBLADE at Anime North – May 28th to 30th in Toronto "

That's all it says lol.

Well, through Ron (head of ANGaming), he has told me that YTV agreed to our terms if they were to cover the event (which essentially were to promote the WBO and who was hosting the event). We'll see though what happens.
Haha, knowledge wise, I think any of us would be better than the people they currently have hired!
Pretty sick man.
You know AN 2011 is just going to be just amazing do to the vast size.
What is the room capacity size?

In other words Kei, how large a tournament do you think we can hold?

I'm not entirely sure ... but last year as you know, we were quite full with both participants and spectators.
No one PMed me, you all wanted me to get lost Unhappy lmao
It's really not that complicated. Once you get to a major station (like Lawrence West as an example) you will see congoers.

Have you planned your route?

I've got something that resembles a route going. Getting myself to Lawerence West, taking the 58 Bus to Dixon. I'm still not too sure of myself, lol.

I plan on going to the TCC first to register (I plan on being there at 8-9AM), and then hoping to get on a shuttle bus, or walk over to the Sheraton.
Alright, so I'm officially going now. Hopefully this helps give you a better estimate of the attendance lol.

I waited in line today and nearly everyone was legitimately dressed up as a cartoon character. Probably the strangest event I've ever seen, but it looks fun nonetheless.
Rawr Im amped i'll be there at 6:00, If I could just find my damn sunglasses...
I might be going and if I do I'll be there by 11:30 so does that meen I can still register
I'll probaly be arrive at the con 6-7ish. Looking forward to random free battling.
I would go today, and possibly can, however the shortest route I have using google maps is 44 Min and that's by car.

I can go because it's on the way to my mom and dad's workplace but if I go today and tommorrow thats almost 1 hr and a half, still think I should go?

On an addition how long is the "event" today and tomorrow going to be?
If you can only come one day come tomorrow. Tomorrow's event is going to last a few hours. Tonight we're just probably going to be doing some free battles.
hmm...
Im gonna bring food then
I should probably be there at around 6:30ish

I'll be bringing all my bey for today (not sure about tomorrow) since I have a lot of parts I need to test. I'll probably be very protective of them since we've had instances of theft.
I can't come to this. This sucks. But I can come to future events.
Hey guys, what time should I get there? Should I come early to try and escape the long line? Plus I might need to draft some hws parts because I need a better stamina part for my rock aires.
Hey guys, here in the Doubletree Lobby!

If you come in the main entrance, veer to the left and look for Alfredo's restaurant. I'm sitting near it in a relatively empty space, so you should be able to spot me.
See you all at the tournament! I'll be wearing a fuschia shirt. I know it is wierd but my parents bought it and it matches rock aries.
Khel showed up! Nobody else yet. Unhappy
Jeeze, this con hosts some scary panels; "Intro to Larping", "How to get a con girlfriend" (that one's for Beynomics, and if that fails, there's always the match game, and the after hours manga library... I kid), etc. and I won't even mention the ones that are happening in the late PM/early AM hours (some are not even happening then...). This ain't no FanExpo.

Of note for Beybladers
At the Double Tree:
Metal Fight Beyblade: 12PM to 1PM (SAT, SUN)
Int'l C Video 1

No one attending this tournament on Saturday will be able to make it.

ITT: Nerd judges other nerds.
asterisk93 just showed up, RaitonLDragon has been here for a little while. Smile Five people here right now, with many passing with questions about the tournament.
Damn, I can't make it tonight. I was hoping to practice a bit.
i cant make it either but i'll be there tommorow
