BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2010
Anime North 2010 @ Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel

Golden Delicious Room
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - "Beyblade 101" Workshop
11 AM - Free Battle and Registration for Beyblade Revival Cup
12 PM - Beyblade Revival Cup Tournament

In 2008, we hosted the BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! tournament- which was planned well before we knew that just one short year later MFB would be launching in Japan. However, now the time has come for Bladers all across the nation to celebrate the launch of BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION in Canada! Thus, for the third year in a row we will be hosting our marquee event at ANIME NORTH 2010, hosted by ANGaming, this year under the title; BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention, however if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments, with even better prizes in the future, and also participate in our world ranking system, the BeyPoints System, then you will need one!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend! With Beyblade becoming mainstream again, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

BEY MEET-UP - FRIDAY MAY 28TH
6pm @ Doubletree Lobby

For those of you who can make it on Friday, we're planning on having a small meet-up. It shouldn't be too hard to find us; stadiums will be strewn about the floor, and I'll try to get a BEYBLADE BATTLE STATION poster up.

If there is enough people, we could potentially have a single elimination tournament as well (don't want to complicate things for something small like that).

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

I skipped parts when I read this

I really want that 100RF Tongue_out
is there any beyblade that you can buy that's isn't involved with luck that has 100RF?

The only thing we will be selling is a random assortment of parts (to create a full Beyblade) at the Parts Draft for $10. However, why not just buy Storm Pegasis 105RF when Hasbro releases it? It isn't quite as good, but it's close enough.

Yeah, seriously. Most of the questions you've asked could have been easily answered if you read through this thread, or even just the opening post.

just to be sure and please plase do not bag on me im just asking a question and most earlier posts barley clear this up so i do not need a pass they dont check so sorry if you know its already there Speechless
Um... Kei, you put SonicDaMan twice.

And I know this is MFB Format and that you'll give us random parts, but, two things:

One: Can you bring your own?

Two: Will parts made by Hasbro be accepted?

EDIT: Sorry, one more question:

Can you bring your own parts and get random parts?

Of course you can.

If you read the WBO Rulebook you would know ...
WBO Rulebook Wrote:In this format, only Beyblades from the Metal Fight Beyblade/Beyblade: Metal Fusion system (August 2008 onwards) are legal.

I won't say 'no', but I would prefer if people who did not own any Beyblades would draft parts first.
As I know you don't have an exact idea of the Anime North location, but could you please give a guess? Smile
also regarding the next "torontonian" event/compitition could you make it in thornhill village? (If you want to see what I'm talking about type in on google maps L3T 5W3 and click pictures then move diagonally from L3T5W3/or type in pomona mills park and move down a bit) as it's very close to my house (5 minute drive in fact!) Tongue_out I'm sure that there are many people in the range such as "bladingbrian" that can make it Smile (correct me please if there is a certain section for this type of stuff)

EDIT: and the people that came to the highparks event/competition can come as well since the drive is 30 minutes Grin (pomona parks can work well also Gasp
parts draft should be limited to new players without bey imo, this is how we did it at last year's

By "Anime North location", do you mean the located of AN itself or the tournaments location within the convention? If it is the latter, you can find a map on the AN website, but if the former, I would assume it will be at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel (formerly the Renaissance) like in previous years.

Most Bladers on the WBO live closer to Toronto, so we hold our events ... closer to Toronto. While an event elsewhere is not out of the question, I can guarantee you that the next tournament after BRC that Khel and I are planning will be at High Park once again.

Yeah, this is what I meant lol. But if we have leftovers, I don't see why we shouldn't allow others that already own Beyblades draft parts.
Ok thnx Kei Smile I was really suprised that the convention was really close Gasp I expect 2 hours of waiting in line though Tongue_out expect me at the high parks one xD
Hey, sorry i'm new and was wondering when is MFB going to be aired and when will stores have them in toronto?

This is off-topic because you are not discussing the tournament at all. Look at the Bey News and at the Beyblade Metal Fusion thread in the Beyblade General forum. The information can be gotten easily there.
were will it be held in the convention?
Like in earlier posts, we do not know yet.
sorry kai-v but when i checked the beyblade metal fusion thread, it said the toyline would be released in march, but its april and they haven't been release yet...

For the tournament, can you put me down as maybe attending, thanks

Apparently many people said that they're going to be released at the end of april, maybe somebody got it confused? Chocked Well, dosen't matter for me cause it's coming out b4 the tournement
yea i guess im under the same category iceryu... but worst case scenario, i'll buy at anime north but i don't know if im attending for sure or not because i would have to bus with friends and its 40 bucks lol

thus mayb attending, though im completly noob because last time i played was probably back in 03ish lol, so i don;t know any of these "strategies" or "combos"
well, last time I played was when I was 8 so..... yeah. Tongue_out
you may want to have $100, 12-15 some for a original beyblade (starter set)
stadium (so I can beyblade with myself when I get bored yeah I know sad,I dunno price, guessing 10-20)
anime north ticket (40 as u know)
and remainder for spare parts (the leftovers from the nooblets that don't have beyblades) for 10$

Well, that's my plan at least, u?

PLUS, I might even be getting some MBFs (Hoping it's storm pegasus105RF!) on my birthday Grin (may 13)
my birthdays on may 13th as well... o_o (1994)

yea and ill bring enuff cash

if i cant buy 1-2 beyblades be4 anime north, ill get them there and then stadium i guess.... the value pack they are offering sounds good, which toysrus should be selling. and what do you mean by spare parts?

n nah for my birthday i want an iphone lol, ill use my own cash for beyblades
i heard at anime north there would be good prices tho =)
trinidevil and IceRyu, continue this in PMs. You are spamming this thread.

Come on, I've mentioned it several times already, and it says clearly in the OP that we do not know yet ...
