BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2010
Anime North 2010 @ Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel

Golden Delicious Room
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - "Beyblade 101" Workshop
11 AM - Free Battle and Registration for Beyblade Revival Cup
12 PM - Beyblade Revival Cup Tournament

In 2008, we hosted the BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! tournament- which was planned well before we knew that just one short year later MFB would be launching in Japan. However, now the time has come for Bladers all across the nation to celebrate the launch of BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION in Canada! Thus, for the third year in a row we will be hosting our marquee event at ANIME NORTH 2010, hosted by ANGaming, this year under the title; BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention, however if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments, with even better prizes in the future, and also participate in our world ranking system, the BeyPoints System, then you will need one!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend! With Beyblade becoming mainstream again, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

BEY MEET-UP - FRIDAY MAY 28TH
6pm @ Doubletree Lobby

For those of you who can make it on Friday, we're planning on having a small meet-up. It shouldn't be too hard to find us; stadiums will be strewn about the floor, and I'll try to get a BEYBLADE BATTLE STATION poster up.

If there is enough people, we could potentially have a single elimination tournament as well (don't want to complicate things for something small like that).

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

oh i am so going to be there i really want to go
This should probably be put in the upcoming events section. Also is there any way to make this show up on the main page? Might get more views that way.

I totally forgot about that thing haha ... I'll add it.

What do you mean? I remember last year there was a banner advertising BWR and Spinoff at the top of the forum, but I am unsure of how to do that. Hopefully Brad or someone else on the committee can let me know, and I'd be glad to put one up in a little while.
This already looks good! I hope their will be a tournament when I go to Canada this year Grin. You should make a video or something advertising this tournament on Youtube, it could get you a lot more attenders.
You can edit the header or index templates, depending on what you'd like.

Really wish you well with all this. :]

No.
The tournament isn't held in the convention center itself, so no ticket is needed unless you actually want to visit the con.
Well of course Toronto Canada is a very good city to make a Beyblade Cup, but here in Mexico City we are lossing.

When will be a Beyblade Cup in Mexico?
Please tell me the most inmediatly possible to tell to my friends.
Unless by some stupid ridiculous reason turns up, you guys can pretty much guarantee I'll be there (ADD ME TO THE LIST lol). I loved Beyblade War Room soooo much, and a ton of my friends who are getting ready for Metal Fusion line will likely be going too. I know its too early to really ask, but will hasbro stadiums be potentially used? This is going to be such a Super Awesome Chocolatey Fudge Coated Mega Super tourney. MY BEY-SPIRIT IS A RAGIN!!!!!!!!

Oh ya just remembered, will you guys actually do the Beyblade 101 thing this year?

As soon as a good amount of Beybladers can be gathered in Mexico! Ask your friends to join the WBO. Smile

More than likely, no, simply because of the walls surrounding the stadium. Like TAKARA-TOMY's stadium guards, they make it more difficult to perform shooting techniques. Though it is good that they have decided to include some form of Tornado Ridge this time around! Someone will probably bring them for free battles or something though.
Hey so I'll be there, but to help etc.
Should be goood.

awwww yeah

I think you should compete though; I can lend you parts. You have to defend your BND! Champion title !! Tongue_out_wink

Cool

sweet.
I am SO coming there cuz i registered already.
Can't wait...hopefully, we can bring other blades
and hope that old is as good as new...
Just curious, will the Libra wheel be banned in this tourney like in Nevermind the Beyblade?
I can pretty much guarantee that it will be.
-.-' i hope beynval got some transport for me cuze i can't even go there i wish i'm able to go there
and i'll bring my old ripcord : )
and if im lucky i can even buy another ripcord for 1.40$ XD
I don't recall reading anything about BEYDAY in the OP... we should keep that tradition going Tongue_out

Hope this tournament goes really well though. This will be a good introduction to BMF for the people who have not heard about it.
Haha, Put me on the potential list as well.
Trust that I'm going to AN at all, I'll be stopping off here.

Honestly, I've needed a reason to break out my bey again, they're gathering dust in a corner somewhere. The game just isn't all that fun without competition, and as I can remember from the mass Beybattles from last year's BWR, Friendly competition is everywhere you look.

Besides, Grudge to settle with koolkid, if he's around Tongue_out
Well now that the bey should be out locally you can grab a couple parts. Be looking forward to playing you again.

It would be great to do this again, but it would help if there was more than one tournament being held around the world on May 29th!
well put me in the potential list
if beynval can get me there i'll be able to join the tournament and buy a beyblade: )
well if you guys want i can put as a prize donation beyblade v-force ''super tournament battle'' on game-cube for free
manual and everything is here

well i could do a tournament but it would need atleast 20$ or 30$ to buy the stuff but anyway
I so want to be flying to toronto right now!! (or on may 25th Tongue_out) Can't wait for it all, the pics, stories - especially the video. If I don't post in this thread again I hope it all goes well!

LOL, It's a MFB/BMF Tourney so no one would want to win a V-Force game, as well as people need to have a GC/Wii to actually have use to their prize (Unless they wanted to sell it for like $3 in the game store)
