Hey fellas,
So recently I had a random funny thought about a Cobalt Dragoon match-up chart, but it gave me an idea of how an actual MU chart could work. This post was originally going to be about X, but given that it's still getting releases and that something like this has a possibility to apply to every gen, all of Beyblade is now in question.
In case you don't know, a Match-Up chart, or simply an MU chart, is a community-made spreadsheet, typically for competitive games(I.e. fighting, hero shooters, moba, etc.), that gauges a character's likeliness of succeeding against another character if both players were of the same skill level. Plenty of them aren't definitive or only focus on one character, but complete definitive charts look like this.
Now with Beyblade, this is an entirely new ballgame. Beys are almost never used stock, so making a chart for that would be borderline useless. A chart comparing individual parts could be... extremely inaccurate. The only thing I could see possibly working is using combos with competitive history, but even that doesn't seem perfect.
Could MU charts work for Beyblade? Or are we better off using tier lists and documenting consistency. Just some food for thought.
