I wrote this story last year. It's not that good but I wanted to see what you think of it. I will not be making any more chapters. This is the full story.
The Sorcerer (Click to View)
Bang!
"Still can't get that charm right!" said Modo. Modo did the levitation charm wrong. The levitation charm was the most simplest charm there was.
Modo was a sorcerer. There are sorcerers, there are enchanters and there are warriors. Sorcerers are the most powerful of them all. They could do charms and they could control the four elements. Which was fire, water, earth and air. But Modo was a beginner. Only masters can control the elements. Modo was an orphan. The orphanage he was in had the meanest owners. They didn't know he was a sorcerer. He tried to do charms on them but it would never work.
Modo was a twelve year old boy. He had fair hair. He wore a small bag which he carried a beginner charm book inside. He had pointy long ears. Almost as if he was an elf. His hair was spiky and had a fiery look to it. The orphanage was dark and gloomy. When you went in the entrance, all you saw is a big, dark hall. Each one had a dormitory. It had over five-hundred boys. They got fed porridge once a day in the afternoon. Modo hated porridge but it was the only thing he could eat.
He ended up in the orphanage after his parents died by an assassin trying to kill Modo when he was two. Modo's parents died trying to protect him. The assassin was trying to kill Modo because there was something special about him.. Modo just couldn't figure out what was so special about him. He couldn't do charms, he couldn't do things that other kids could. He just couldn't figure out what was so special about him.
Modo tried and tried but he couldn't get the levitation charm right. He was trying to move his bag which he left on the floor, but accidentally he lifted one of the floorboards. He knew he was in trouble but he was sort of happy that he got the levitation charm right. He heard footsteps coming towards the dormitory. The door flung open. There was a chubby old man standing in the doorway. It was Mr. McGann, the owner, looking angrier than ever. He walked over to the lifted floorboard. He took out some old dusty book. He threw it at Modo. "You're trying to hide your old book in the floorboard!" shouted Mr. McGann. Modo knew it wasn't his. When
Mr. McGann walked out of the dormitory, Modo looked at the front cover. It said: "Advanced Charm Book". Modo opened the book. At first there was nothing, but then there was a flash of light and then it said: "Time Traveling". Modo read on. There were charms for shape-shifting, charms for flying and even charms for dancing.
Modo then heard a voice, a very angry voice. "Lights off!" He would have to finish reading in the morning.
In the morning, he was getting dressed, when he couldn't see himself in the mirror, only two adults regally dressed. The woman had a long, white cloak and a diamond ring. The man wore a black cloak and had necklace with some sort of diamond or jewel.
The lady started talking: "Hello, my son." Then the man whispered to Modo: "We will meet again at a more appropriate time." And they then disappeared. Modo was very confused. But then an idea struck him! It was his parents! And know he knew something was up.
After months and months of memorizing the charms, Modo was ready to try the time traveling charm. He said it. It all went dark and then he was in the middle of a forest. Modo was very scared. He must of went before the orphanage was built. He looked in his bag. The book was gone. Then he noticed he had a hole in his bag. He couldn't remember the charm. All he knew was the levitation charm. He heard a rustling in the trees. He heard it get closer and closer. He knew no charm to protect him. But then it came out. It was only a bird. He heard another sound but it was a strange sound. A sound he had never heard before. It sounded like a whistle but deeper. It got louder and louder. He saw a hole being burnt in the bush. It was a baby dragon. It had a long snout, it had a scaled back and it had two not-so big wings. But when a baby comes there's always the mother. And the battle was on!
Modo ran and ran, but he came to a dead end. He put out his hand. And somehow a protective shield stopped the dragon. Modo thought it was him doing it but then he saw another sorcerer. He was doing it. And he said a charm and the dragon was gone. But before he could thank him, he was gone.
Modo had just seen an assistant de mestre, which is heblin, which is the sorcerer language. It means master sorcerer. He must of been training for years. He must of been Forta El Gran. His name means Strong The Great. He was the greatest sorcerer of all time.
Modo was walking for about a day, when he came to a lake. He was walking over to the lake when a pebble came right for him. Modo put out his hand to stop it from hitting his face, but it never hit him. Modo opened his eyes. The pebble was floating in the air. Modo moved his hand. He was controlling the element earth. He took a drink and he was off.
After walking for a while, he came to a house. He knocked on the door, but no one was there, so he went in. But it wasn't a normal house. It was an enchanted house. He was back in the orphanage. As if nothing ever happened.
