Just finished reading the MoA for the second time. Timing myself, I finished the first read through in around 4 hours (I thought that was pretty good, considering...). All I have to say before switching to spoilers is...woah.

Spoiler Alert (Click to View)

The ending really left me cliff-hanging (Actually, more like free falling into tartarus, but (Get the joke? )), as Riordan always does. I'm interested to see how they intend to close the doors from both sides and still give Percy and Annabeth a happy ending, since they would have to stay on the other side to shut them. Maybe a new, villainous character that decides to finally do good will take the burden? That's what usually happens, anyway.
Also, will the next book be the final one for this series? I mean, they have the end in sight: they know how to close the doors, and they have the Statue thingy. I mean, I can't imagine Rick Riordan writing more than one book about Percy and Annabeth being stuck in Tartarus, because the idea might lose interest after that. And if he intends on writing more, he has to get them out; which probably means they shut the door. So then, is the final book about shutting the other door? Seems unlikely to me. In any case, great book, and I look forward to the next one (And maybe more!)
