Gameplay Key Notes:
Relaunching
If your launch is obstructed or noticeably underpowered due to an event beyond your control or contact is made in mid-air, you can request a relaunch, which will immediately void and end the current battle.
The primary reasons you’d want to request a relaunch are:
  • Your launcher malfunctions in a way that causes your launch to be underpowered
  • You are accidentally hit or shoved by the opposing player or a spectator
  • Contact was made before both Beyblades touched the stadium floor
Judges will call for a relaunch as they see fit. Bladers are also entitled to a single relaunch request per battle.
Bladers must request a relaunch during the countdown or immediately afterwards. The judge may deny the request if they determine that you were at fault or requested too late.
The launch area is 30 inches in diameter and should be roughly divided in half, with each player having their own side. It's recommended to launch from your side to avoid obstructing your opponent. However, you can still tilt your Bey towards their side to land in a way that allows you to take control of their territory. Please ensure that the Beys don't collide mid-air or land on top of each other as both of those situations would result in a Relaunch being called.
When players move their launcher arm beyond just a wrist tilt, it imparts excessive forward momentum to the beyblade, causing it to bounce uncontrollably in the stadium. This uncontrolled movement disrupts the game's fairness and safety, as forward inertia is not intended to be part of the gameplay. By sticking to wrist tilts, players can ensure a more stable and equitable environment for all participants.
Play Area
The Play Area is considered to be the entire BeyStadium, which is divided into three types of zones.
  • The Battle Zone consists of the area of stadium floor bounded by stadium walls and exits (which are gaps in these walls where Beyblades can pass through into an Over Zone or Xtreme Zone), as well as the space above it.
  • Over Zones and Xtreme Zones are pockets into which a Beyblade can be knocked-out (and include any areas under a cover where there is no stadium floor underneath).

Shooting Area
The Beyblade must remain within 20cm of the center of Shooting Area for the duration of the launch. For example, the beyblade cannot enter the launch area mid pull, and you cannot shoot from a height higher than 20cm from the center of the battlezone.
Win Condition Priority
Knock-Outs (both Over Finishes and Xtreme Finishes) take priority over Spin Finishes. If a collision between two Beyblades results in one being knocked-out and the other no longer spinning at the same time, the no-longer-spinning Beyblade is the winner (as it lands the deciding blow before being out-spun).
Burst Finishes take priority over all. If a collision between two Beyblades results in one being bursted and the other being knocked-out at the same time, the knocked-out Beyblade is the winner unless a Judge determines this to be a DRAW.
If a collision between two Beyblades results in one Beyblade being knocked-out into an Over Zone and the other being knocked-out into an Xtreme Zone at the same time, it is a draw. Since both Beyblades in this scenario exited the Battle Zone simultaneously, and neither managed to return to it, there is no clear winner.
Knocked-Out
A Beyblade is knocked-out when it exits the BeyStadium’s Battle Zone and does not return, or makes contact with a foreign object in any area aside from the floor directly below an Over Zone or Xtreme Zone. Beyblades stuck on an element of a BeyStadium’s Battle Zone are still considered in-play.
If a Beyblade exits the BeyStadium through the Launch Area of a stadium with a cover or shroud, the Beyblade will be considered out-of-bounds if it lands outside of the Play Area, or makes contact with a foreign object. If a Beyblade becomes out-of-bounds, the round will be considered a draw.
Own Finish
  • If a Beyblade is knocked-out into an Over Zone or Xtreme Zone
  • OR is launched directly into an Over Zone or Xtreme Zone
  • AND without making contact with the opposing Beyblade

Event Code of Conduct
Events posted on the WBO are run by volunteers so that bladers of all ages can play in competitive Beyblade tournaments that are fair and fun.
It’s expected that all bladers attending Events follow the rules, display good sportsmanship, and act with integrity.

Under no circumstances will World Beyblade Organization, Fighting Spirits Inc., its directors, members, or staff be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that arise from independent Events advertised on the website. .
