Question: What if you're a Macintosh user? Ctrl-Alt-Delete is a Windows-only thing, and it might be Linux, but I'm not sure.

Since you are an Macintosh user you use Activity Monitor instead of using Ctrl-Alt-Delete in windows.
You can find the Activity Monitor in the Applications => Utilities.
