I can understand the whole must be an active member requirement, although I don't see why the Faces should matter; what kind are you referring to? I also don't see why the user should have 100 posts to be a member, either. Like, those 100 or more posts may not even be that good. You can't base what a user is like off of those two things.

I don't plan on joining but I'm just pointing it out there.

If you want it to be lively, perhaps update it or something. Perhaps people have school and cannot talk all the time and then when they come back, they find out you left them? You know how would that turn out.
