Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

I've drafted this up for the B-203 thread (which will begin to exist once we have the official images) but figured it'd be good to post this here early in order to hopefully nip any miscommunications about this truly weird release in the bud.

The new Blades are called "Super" and "King", but are in Japanese spelled as the "超" and "王" kanji respectively with furigana above denoting that they are pronounced as the english words "Super" and "King".(Same case as Shadow/Shining Amaterios). Not to be confused with the "超" and "王" Discs, which are pronounced as just how one would pronounce the kanji by themselves ("Cho" as in "show" and "Ou" as in "oh"). Also not to be confused with the "Super" and "King" Rings from the Superking series, which are spelled in out in Katakana as the English words. Language is fun!

The gimmick with the confusingly named Blades is much like Duo Aeclipse from the God/Cho-Z series, as each Blade is made of two halves, one with embedded metal and one with rubber blades. The halves of these blades can be interchanged with the other to create two versions of the "Superking" (超王) Blade, with one being the Metal version (denoted with an M and the end of the Layer Name) and the other being the Rubber version (denoted with an R and the end of the Layer Name). For example, combining the Helios DB Core and both metal halves of the Blades creates "Superking Helios M", whereas combining the Hyperion DB Core with both rubber halves of the Blades creates "Superking Hyperion R". The "MR" at the end of the stock Layer names denotes that both the metal and rubber halves of each blade are being used, so one could theoretically take a rubber and metal half from both blade and combine them to make "Superking Hyperion MR" or "Superking Helios MR", maybe? Unclear on that part but hopefully the official video guide will clear this up.

And then there's the new Belial 3 DB Core, H Gear (a plastic piece on top and metal piece on bottom sandwiching the Divine Blade), and Bearing Drift (no metal lock on it, thank god). Also there's the new Drivers for Hyperion and Helios (Xp and Zp, I believe) but what we have of them isn't enough info to go off of for any definitive information other than "they exist" and "they look like new versions of Xceed and Zone." And also also, looks to be a Full Custom BeyLauncher LR in there, only in a goofy red/blue color scheme. That's all, folks.

Super! King!
Super Link!
Super Link Superking!

Welp, so much praying it was gonna be like Doubledealer or punch/counterpunch.
Wow. The New Helios and Hyperion are looking fire. I cannot wait to get my hands on that release. I always wished you could combine Helios and Hyperion and this release made it all come true lol. Why Belial3… We don’t need another Belial Core. The H Gear looks really cool though, I can’t wait to see how it’ll affect preformace and see if it’ll be able to make Divine Better. I don’t know exactly what the Black and Red Driver is but I hope it isn’t BD Driver lol. New Chips for the Xceed and Zone Drivers? I can’t wait for these two Beys to release and H Gear looks like a Metal Fight Part lol. Extremely excited.
Before someone comes in here claiming one of the fused blades is called kingsuper, it's officially called superking M and superking R there is no kingsuper and it's just a fan term for the fused blade helios goes on that CrazyEater came up with. Don't need/want people to get misinformed cause of it spreading

Belial 3 is because TT ran out of ideas  weren't happy with Belial 2  need some incentive for losers like me who aren't interested in Hyperion and helios
Can't wait to get the pre-orders in 5-6 looking at the release depending on AJ's price Smile

Not confirmed yet, anyone who claim its on the leak image is not to be believed as Zankye had to censor them out to avoid getting in trouble, so if its really BD we shouldn't assume is true for now until TT says so.
I'm still not sure if it Bearing Drift or just Regular Drift. If it regular then its wasted slot

Well Honestly that's fine with me becuz you basically NEED a Drift to win tournaments nowadays. *sigh*

I'm absolutely all for a new Belial 3 core, I just find it weird that they put it here instead of on the actual Divine Belial release. We still should've had a Nexus' type of concept too.
This set is hella expensive. Its about 7250 jpy compared to last year overdrive set only 5940jpy
Wow Belial got thrown into transwarp drive again and mutated further. (Ha. Ha)
But the problem is...what could make it better? They've tried metal, rubber locks, shaky...
Wait does the core have any sign of metal? Or they just releasing it so people don't waste their time hunting down divine and get the new and fancy things

Where does it says show? It's Cho.
Pronunciation is totally different.

Attack is already META. We have Guilty, Xiphoid & UltimateNx+S to keep stamina combos in check.
According to ryuukiinmei sources, the set does come with Bearing Drift

Hoping for easier ways to obtain attack drivers such as xtreme'/quick'

the new RB for drivers is so disappointing IMO

I know that Guilty is prominent, and Xiphoid has seen some use, but idk if I'd call attack "meta" when Dyna+F appears in practically every deck.

Now, if we started seeing pure defense combos show up in winning combos lists, then I'd be convinced that attack is meta. But as it stands now? Attack is at the mercy of a limited selection of competitive drivers, the majority of which I don't see appearing again before the end of BU.

There's a photo that shows off all the parts and when looking at the BD driver it's quite clear due to the sharpish point which is also on MBD

7250 yen that's included 10% tax in Japan, so before tax is 6591 yen, overdrive set was 5940 yen before tax, the difference is 651 yen that's the price for the extra 2 gears.

Here's the thing. If Guilty, Xiphoid & UltimateNx+S are capable of consistently knocking out Dyna(F) and other stamina combos, then its meta. The reason why people use Dyna(F) often is because its reliable, but it doesn't mean it's too powerful and in fact, most stamina combos are. I've done many launches with Xtreme' and I don't really find it that difficult to use most of the time. Attack in the metagame is just as strong or even stronger than Stamina.

I said that it rhymes with "show", as a pronunciation guide. Because kids online don't bother to learn how to pronounce things before say them, and that's annoying. Sorry for trying to educate people?
A Belial III core is cool, I guess. The new Belial tip looks like some sort of Drift variant, even though Divine is classified as an attack type. The design makes me think it may be some sort of bearing drift, so that's cool I guess. We could get another Savior Perseus-type situation where we get some pretty good parts in a terrible combo, or I could be wrong. The Helios tip looks kind of like Zone+Z fused into one tip. I wish we got a disc other than tapered on Helios. If we're lucky, we could get essentially a better tapered, and if we're unlucky, we could get a worse tapered. Illegal would be nice, and it would make sense on Helios as a balance type, assuming Illegal is supposed to be for balance. I wonder how the layer merging would work since Hyperion has been exclusively right-spin in the past and Helios has been exclusively left-spin in the past. Maybe we'll get essentially a dual-spin guilty and a dual-spin vanish/dynamite+f. I hope the layer shape is good and that they're balanced enough to be used stock, especially Helios which seems to be more of a stamina type now. We'll just have to wait and see. Can't wait for this release.
