Super Smash Bros. Brawl

(I don't care if he's really being...himself. But for having a valid opinion? Really?)

I guess I was a little out of line. He always just sounds so self-important with his tone of saying things. :\

I'm not into spy/secret agent/espionage-type motifs. That's all there is to it. I'm not going to like something I have no interest in because it's "shiny," technologically innovative, or generally visually impressive.

never mind, you're an idiot
btw guys, once this games released, we should have a beywiki tournament
Silver Kane Wrote:btw guys, once this games released, we should have a beywiki tournament

I second this.
I win. I accept. Thank you for the honours. See you next year.

it's true, ommy is ridiculously good at this game Unhappy
Jesus, that was instantaneous. Faster cast, indeed.
i have nothing better to do

i think i'll go make some bacon
I'm gonna get raped in that tourney btw, I only play it for fun, I don't have a "main" and I just randomly click buttons lol
but it sure hell is fun
According to both my roommates I'm crazy good a ssbm.

I'm not into wding or shuffling though, I just play a lot.
Count me in if there is one. Although, I am probably the exact same skill level as Silver Kane. x]
I'm gonna undergo some serious training the day Brawl comes out. I'll be ready for you, Ommy. I still think you took it easy on me when I beat you in SoulCalibur II in that crowded AN hotel room some years ago, especially since it was your game and the first time I had ever played SoulCalibur.
I need to learn how to actually play this game. I tried learning to Wave Dash, but I gave up.
I hardly ever played SCII. I'm pretty sure the only reason I had it was because it was a gift.

And who 'seriously' trains, let alone trains, for a video game? I have more important things going on in my life than to take any video game seriously.

I don't train for anything. The only reason I am good at things like this is because I can learn and adapt on the spot. Brad will attest to this when we played Mario Tennis back in the day.

WHERE THE carp IS MARIO TENNIS WII WITH ONLINE? that would seriously be the best thing ever

Same here lol I tried Wavedashing and shuffling once, but I just couldn't pull it off. Right now, I'll just wait for Brawl to try some of these techniques again (well, the ones that make a comeback and new ones discovered).
Being a good SSB player takes a lot of practice and dextrecity. There's no way in hell a casual player will beat a pro in this game.

Anyone else thinks Norfair is too small of a stage? I hope Ridley appears in the background or something. Also hoping he'll be a boss in Adventure Mode's Subspace Emissary.
Norfair looks like it should be quite a riot stage with that wave mechanic.

Also wavedashing? I probably know how to do these technical moves you state, but have no idea what the names attached to these moves are. The only thing I labeled back in the day was a downward meteor smash (I called it a spike) before they were officially labeled as meteor smashes.

Also, they should have made Wii Sports online compatible. How good would that have been.

Wavedashing is air dodging diagonally downwards immediately after a jump, it produces an effect that slides your character across the ground.

And spiking and meteor smashes are technically two different things.
is spiking where you edge guard then do a downward attack when someone tries to get back onto the stage?
Fleetscut Wrote:is spiking where you edge guard then do a downward attack when someone tries to get back onto the stage?

No. Spiking is very similar to Meteor smashing, the difference being that Meteor Smashes have a longer start up time/more lag, and can be meteor canceled. You see that little sparkle when you do them, like normal smashes.

Spikes are basically normal moves that send your opponent down/diagonally down. They're like unofficial MS. They're quicker and can't be canceled.

Mario and Yoshi's fair are examples of Meteor Smashes.

Falco and Marth's dair are examples of spikes.
Spectator mode is a nice touch. It's really good for those "serious players" who want to study up on becoming better.

Though I think people should have better things to do than exert more effort into a pass time rather than something far more productive. Irregardless, sometimes it is fun to simply watch others duke it out in battle.
Oof, Dark Link!

The 'Gothic' colour scheme for Zelda is also rather appealing.
you what I noticed on DOJO? in the characters section all the Veteran fighter spaces are filled, but there is one space left for Newcomers. I think that there will be another character on the way.
