A Witch,A Meister and his Weapon stood by an altar. The Weapon,Joshua,looked at his meister.The Meister's name was Ares. Ares nodded at Joshua. Joshua transformed onto a sleek black steel blade about three feet long. Ares grabbed Joshua by the hilt. The meister stared at the altar for a few minutes. Then,after working up some nerve,he sliced a long gash across his forearm. Blood-BLACK blood-oozed out of the wound. He let it drip over the altar. A dark red liquid bubbled inside the altar. The Witch,The Meister,and the Weapon kneeled before the altar. A voice as sharp as steel spoke. "Welcome",the voice said."I am Hades The Almighty,and I am the Keishin destined to devour every single human soul in existence!"

What? No, weapons were born weapons in the Soul Eater world. Meisters are people who wield the weapons, and the weapons and meisters souls' have to be compatible like Black Star and Tsubaki, Soul and Maka, etc...Like how Maka has weapon blood because of her father, and meister blood because of her mother.
