He just has stronger beys. From Requiem vs Drain to Cho-Z Spriggan vs Geist. And we all know who wins the Lord vs Wizard matchup (that technically doesn't count though). Plus Shu has a very strong bond and intense bond with his bey as well. Free isnt weak, but Shu is definitely stronger.

The final thing that plays into this is the ranking system in sparking, that by itself doesn't mean anything but you can infer that most of the top 15 bladers have battled each other to determine where they stand in the rankings and Shu and Free have probably battled at some point to see who gets the higher rank and from what we know now Shu stands above Free at number 2.
I respectfully disagree. To be honest, the evidence points toward Free. He had literally never lost in his LIFE when he first became world champion, while Shu lost to Free's wannabe rival Lui no less than *three* times, while Free could beat him effortlessly. I can kinda understand why you like him so much, but honestly Free's stronger. As for the ranking thing, Free doesn't care about that anymore; I mean, everyone can agree he's stronger than Aiga, who is one spot above him! Heck, I can't even imagine Free losing to a chump like that.

Shu is still way stronger though. He has a stronger bey and more intense bond, he's clearly stronger. Shu and Free are sorta close in power level but right now ins SuperKing SHu is alot stronger. He's also above Free in the rankings for pete's sake. If anything Free almost got sorta weaker like AIga during GT and is slowly getting stronger. Mirage is strong, but Shu and Spriggan are stronger. Ngl, it seems apparent that after Valt lost, Aiga trumped Free. Then Cho Z Achilles came and Free probably got outstripped even more. Plus timeskips can literally mean anything to the writers. Anyone can power up, look at Zac.
Just gotta accept that Aiga's stronger here, even if not by a big margin. Only a one place difference.
You can like Free and Shu doesn't matter, but Shu is stronger. During GT Free didn't evolve till near the end of that generation, and he never really got stronger, so others got ahead of him. Free is getting stronger, but Shu is alot stronger though. Shu's constantly training and evolving, while growing a bond and having super powerful beys every gen (dual layers aside).

edit: also, I like both blader equally. They're cool.
edit: And on the topic of past info: Using past info to prove a future point on their probability to win battles is fine, however you also have to take in account their current strength. Using CHo-Z to prove your point is kinda risky cause we all know AIga was way to strong and had power level issues back then. And yeah bladers can come back stronger, but FIRST they lost, forcing them to train a lot to come back for a rematch. BY the time the rematch is happening, power levels have shifted. And we all know for someone like AIga, he actually got weaker during GT (With Drum outplaying him with Ace Dragon and winning the battle island). So Power Levels constantly shift very often, someone can. beat someone then lose to them later. (like how in the manga valt beat aiga but later valt came back and beat aiga).

Anyway about Kurtz I’m saying he was the best in the world 6 years before god and then disappeared. There is no way he is going to stay at the same strength or stronger bladers wouldn’t show up later on.

In the og manga Drum beat AIga and won the battle island. The manga is the original source, so its better to go with it.

I didn't insult anyone. I quoted Raul, who is clearly the best Blader in the world.

Oh. Sorry about that.
Welp I'm abandoning this thread before I get a warning, so goodbye and sorry if I offended anyone- I didn't mean to. However I still stand by my word.
