He is a known fraud that has even come on here in a few names but he already paid and I just got off the phone with ebay and I need to send the item since he won't cancel the transaction.....but they claim I should have a case for anything he tries to pull
congrats for selling darkfox
If he has already paid, is the main risk that he'll receive the item, then lie and launch a paypal dispute?
same here.. had a person with 1 main and 4 gues accounts.. he said he cant log in at phone actually so he bought with guest accounts.. but everyhting was ok.. he revieved and rated
Would tracked shipping prevent the buyer from lying?
You could prove it arrived at the destination and that s/he is lying?

Probably signed for deliveries confirm the item reaches it's destination.
Yes I have experienced this before. You must ship the item with tracking so that if the buyer lies and says they never received it, you can prove with the tracking number that you sent it after payment was recieved and it was received by the buyer. Most tracking will let you know when the package has been accepted and they can't argue against this. Paypal/eBay would be on your side in this case and refund you the money if anything goes wrong.

u have to ship with tracking always! thats a rule from ebay and paypal
well I called ebay and alerted them AGAIN to him as he was also trying this with the first shining god. They explained how I can protect myself so since I always give tracking that is fine for "item not received", as for the "serious not as described" I took pictures of the item next to todays date on my iPod touch and since it is new, if he tampers with it then he loses. I also got a big message from him saying he is sorry for his old ways and wants to change a new leaf. So I messaged him back saying I am putting my trust in him but also spoke with ebay so...yea....I am not playing around
LOL
Changed his old ways? As if!
Maybe take photos with it next to today's newspaper or something, so they can't say you're lying about the date.

Please be cautious...
This would be a big blow to the community.

I´d recommend making a video while you pack it showing the buyer´s address and seal it in the video. Then when you bring it to the post office, take another shot that it´s still sealed and on its way to him. Like this you have concrete prove that you really shipped SG and not a stone or whatever he might tell ebay/paypal. That´s also a popular trick of frauds.
