Rubber tip wear and tear

Well, i have a bunch of beyblades with rubber tips and when i spin them i notice that the tips eventually wear down. My friend told me that there is some plastic about a fourth of a centimeter under the surface. is this true?
Of course rubber tips wear, as do all tips, unfortunately rubber tips happen to wear significantly faster than plastic ones, that is why it is important to have many copies of these rubber tips. As for the plastic part I don't believe that is true, the only tip that I know that has plastic in the actual rubber is CS. But this does not deserve a thread and would be better suited in the ask a question get an answer #2 thread which is in this same forum. I hope I helped!
