RotMG (Realm of the Mad God)

I just recently discovered this MMORPG, and I gotta say I'm loving it.

You can start off as a Wizard, and then as you level up, unlock more classes, and so forth. There are items that range from common to rare, like most things, but what I love most about this game is that it's 8-BIT!!! It's simple, and fun, and I keep wasting more time there than here XD

You can level up to level 20. There are MANY worlds to discover and fight monsters in, sometimes people will open up world that they themselves paid for, and those worlds usually have the rarest stuff, however, they are a LOT harder.

How it plays- it's like a shooter. But it's not a FPS, or 3FPS, it's unique from most things that are out now. You can equip different weapons, armor, rings, and other things like helms. You can use real money for coin, which can buy you "skins" that alter your appearance. (similar to Minecraft skins)

However, if you're not able to buy coins (which I doubt most people will, since it's just a game) when you die you earn "fame" you can use these on items that you can purchase in the Nexus as well, like Drake Eggs, or Keys to other worlds.

A tip - if you want to get some good items at the start, hang around the Nexus and pick up some things if people drop them. Careful though, some people may NOT to have wanted to drop them, so if they want it back, have some courtesy to give it back. Smile

Currently, I am a Level 10 Warrior, trying to get to level 20, then switch to another class to do so, to unlock more prestigious classes. I have about 59 fame.

Weapon: Fire Sword
Helm: Bronze Helm
Armor: Blue Steel Mail
Ring: Ring of Health

Ahh, cool! I'm working towards Necromancer, but damn it's hard getting to Level 20 on anything really. What's a mul? Ever killed Oryx?

This is one of the most awful games I've ever played. However, as soon as I started... I ended up playing for four hours.

Unlocked several classes, got a character to like 11, deliberately died, and closed the window.

Never again.

...Well, if you hate it, why did you play for four hours, then? I usually only play for about an hour before knowing if I'll either enjoy it or really, really hate it, so why four hours? XD

Also, this is kind of nit-picking, but what's the point of abreviating to RotMG if you're just gonna but the full name in parenthesis?

Sorry for the necrobump, I saw your link about this game on Facebook so I've decided to give it a shot since the arcade style seems interesting and I played through the tutorial, stopped, post on this thread and come back, I'm a lv 2 mage so far, but not for long!

Hah, I play EVERY night for a long time. It's so addicting Smile

I just luckily picked up a Fey Bow runign away from some gods over lava in a chest; damn that was intense. Low HP, over lava, 8 gods rushing at me, and when I saw that, I HAD to go for it, and I got it and Nexus'd away ;D
So glad, it's the best bow I've acquired by myself. I'm becoming a better player too ^O^ Thinking abotu making a guild.

Level 20 is relatively easy for me to achieve.

It's that damn getting 150 fame that kicks my carp.
