Howdy everybody! Who's ready for another big North Carolina event?

If any of you remember Taking Back the City, it was a big promotional event we hosted back in April. With tournament attendance down, we were shooting for the most attendees we could possibly get! I'm happy to say, while it wasn't the biggest crowd ever, we did manage to get 20 players. However, this time, we're going to shoot for higher! This will be another large promotional event, and we're shooting for the goal of 30 competitors!

This is a big number to pull together, so Bladers from all over the East Coast are encouraged to attend if they can! Maryland, Virginia; you name it! Everybody's welcome.

Now, just like last time, there will be a secret prize given out to the Blader who brings the most friends along, so come with as many people as you can! It's a prize you don't wanna miss!

Date, Place, and Time Wrote:
Main Street Park - 500 Scarboro Street, Rolesville, NC - Shelter D - October 25th, 2014 - 11:00 A.M.

Limited Format

The are two separate entrances to Main Street Park - the front entrance is located at 200 South Main Street, but the shelter we will be playing in is located at the very back of the park, so it would be a quarter mile walk to the playing area from the front entrance. We will be using the back entrance, located at 500 Scarboro Street. This entrance is located only a few hundred yards from shelter D, so getting to the playing area will be much easier. There will be tournament officials waiting at the entrance from 10:30 to 11:00 A.M. to direct you to the shelter.

We will be playing in shelter D, the largest shelter in the park, capable of holding 50 people or so conveniently. The shelter is equipped with 8 electrical outlets (the two outlets at the front end of the shelter will be used to run tournament devices, but feel free to use the other 6 if you need them).

The shelter will contain picnic tables on which participants may place their equipment. The tables toward the front of the shelter will be used for tournament matches.

We will be playing Beyblade in Limited Format. What is Limited format, you ask? Read the Universal Rulebook for information. Certain overpowered Beyblade parts are banned in Limited format, to keep gameplay balanced and fair for everyone. The Universal Rulebook that I linked contains the list of parts that are banned. Make sure you bring legal parts!

We expect to be done by around 3:00 P.M.

ATTENTION: This is of the utmost importance. If you do not own a Blader Passport, you must pay a mandatory 5 dollar entrance fee (or you can purchase a passport, details here) to enter this tournament. If you don't pay, unfortunately, you can't play.

This is a non-profit organization, and funding for events like this can get expensive, so charging a small fee is necessary.

Now what would a big event like this be without some prizes! We've got a really great lineup this time.

1st Prize: BB-96 Beyblade Super Deck Set + BB-102 Screw Capricorn 90MF

2nd Prize: BB-75 Deck Entry Set + BB-85 Metal Face Custom

Third Prize: BB-91 Ray Gil 100RSF + BB-85 Metal Face Custom

Pretty awesome! That's a lot of stuff. Just one more reason to come down and compete! Thanks to the committee and the players who donated for these prizes!

Now, we're gonna need quite a crowd for this tournament! So, here we go!

Unfortunately, guys, even if we're able to squeeze enough people together and pull this thing off, I will not be giving out all the prizes.

Without a large number of participants and substantial entry fees, I can't be reimbursed, and after spending a carpload of money on all of these prizes, I simply can't afford to give them all away.

First prize will still be receiving the Deck Entry Set, and second and third prize will still be receiving Custom Metal Faces, but I was counting on a large turnout for this event, and unfortunately, we didn't get it.

I wish we'd gotten more players, but alas, looks like we'll barely make the cut (if we even do at all - I'm counting on SS1 and Tite showing up. Without them, the event may not even happen).

But hey, we haven't had any prizes for a while, and first prize is still pretty sweet, so it's no reason not to come.

Darn you Dark, how do you get so many people for your tournaments? Serious
Gt isnsimply a better location. If thry weren't having the ARGCS this weekend they would've let us host. But ARG takes priority.
Dark is also known as a good organizer with a lot of experience; if I was coming from out of state then I would rather go to an event that I knew would likely happen with a well known host.
I wouldn't say Darks events have anything more than yours TheBlackDragon. All NC events regardless of who hosts has low turn outs now. That's just how it is and we'll have to work with it or there will be no more events.
Let it go,i'll be there. Pegasis_Wink
Awesome!

That's 8; hopefully we can still pull this off.
Sorry but I will not be able to attend this event. Number 1 in NC was fun while it lasted have fun guys.
Eh, canceling two days beforehand is really not cool ...

greation from genriton the phinoex mabye gone but his brother is here to carry on the tradtion he is not as active
as he once was but his beyspirt is burning bighter then ever confirm waterblader
8 again!

Alright, as long as nobody cancels in the next 24 hours, we should be able to play (I can't believe how many people have confirmed and then canceled for this thing - if nobody had we'd have around 20 players by now).
Well I guess ill come to this can't let the new #1 in NC get it without a fight.
Yes! Haha!

Eee

EDIT: Especially good; I just realized that ANTOR's post must have been a joke, seeing as he lives on the other side of the planet. Back up to 8 for the third time.
Good luck to everybody tomorrow
Dark and I are just leaving. We might be a few minutes late.
We're leaving in a few. See you guys there! Bring stadiums if you have them.
10:40 and I'm the only one here huh.

Sorry for double post but there's a little leage team taking our shelter
Had to move shelters; ended up at the front of the park.

Results!

1st: TheBlackDragon

2nd: Dark_Mousy

3rd: Thunder Dome

We had a great event! It was small, but still definitely worth the time.
Congrats to the placers!
