Rock mold difference.( Canada and US molds)

When I bought my first beyblade it was rock leone(canada version). Then I got rock aquario( us version) Then I noticed that the us version seemed lighter and the metal ring was reforced twice the times the Canada version is. Now the canada version is heavier. That's all my rookie beyblader skills can pick up right now.
* update!*

It turns out that the canada version is actully the first rock mold version. And the us is the new mold for rock.
I think I read this somewhere; might have been on Beywiki. I also made a vid briefly explaining the difference. At first, I thought the heavier Wheels came in Rock Leone 145WB's, but I found one in a Rock Aries ED145B. Then I bought another Rock Aries ED145WB only to find out that it was lighter and therefore worse for defense. It's odd how they (Hasbro) alternates molds..
I still think that rock's recoil is too high for that to matter too much in any case.
I'll run tests on mold variations when I have the time as I have noticed some differences in performance. You're right about the recoil issues, but the results of my test may be useful for people who only wish to use Hasbro parts.
Rock sucks at defense, but it has fantastic stamina, try testing that instead.

This.

Thank you for thinking about people who are only using Hasbro parts right now and their combos are developed around this kind of stuff.

Thumbs up to you.
Also, the firs mold( the less reforced one) does give a better stamina.
I'm assuming there is no physical difference because no one has reported it?

There are physical differences, but I cannot remember what they are off the top of my head.
is it the 6 cylinder vs 3 cylinder thingy? look on the under side of a few hasbro rock molds some have 3 cylinder some have 6.
Much appreciated if you could post the topic/site/pictures Daegor

Edit..mine has 6 (?) cylinders...not sure if i;m looking at the right thing.

Yes, that is it. I posted that somewhere.
There is another mold change. I have a Rock wheel with exactly 0 cylinders. I let someone borrow my camera. I will not be able to post pictures. Unhappy

That's quite peculiar. I'm just curious, but has Takara-Tomy done this as well? I'm wondering if Hasbro is doing this because TT might have done it as well (don't know if they [TT] did).

In any case, it's rather upsetting for Hasbro users who want to use Rock for Defense.

I think that's what I have.
It's really good for stamina.

Rock Bull 145SD, solo spin:
4:30
4:27
4:32

...
Wow, nice results.
I guess mine is good for defense.... Speechless Going to buy Rock Aries/Orso next month so hoping for a 0 cylinder one...

I can't tell what version I have I think it's a 6 but then I see these two circle things is it 2?
EDIT: I fail on my sentence grammatically, I need more sleep XD

No, that is six.
Here's a pic of both molds:

The top is the six cylinder/notch mold, and the bottom is the three.

The LVJ, I'd really like to see your no-cylinder/notch Rock Wheel. Like the MC said, I bet it would be killer for Stamina.
Holy, that is really interesting. Really dramatic change.

I think I'm going to move this to Beyblade General, since at the moment it doesn't really pertain to Beywiki directly.
I wonder if the difference pertains to purchasing the single packs or double packs.
The double pack comes with 6 cylinders: Rock Leone and Rock Aquario both have 6 cylinders Uncertain
There is still Rock Pegasus so we'll have too see if they're all 6 cylinders
I think 6 would actually be better than 0 for stamina, it carries momentum well due to it's outward focus.
