Recruiting New Event Review Team Members!

Last fall we created a specialized "Event Review team" dedicated solely to event proposal reviews and approvals. This is a team made up exclusively of existing WBO Organizers that want to help other WBO Organizers and keep everything running smoothly.

The event review process has drastically improved how quickly we can respond to event proposals, and while there have been some growing pains, we continue to make this process more efficient over time to reduce workload on both organizers and the review team. That trend is absolutely continuing as the year goes on, with your feedback being a key consideration in all that we're doing and building towards! More to come on that later...

However, the needs of our growing communities and expected general Beyblade demand over the early summer means that our team will need your help! We're looking to bring on more dedicated members of the community to the team and greatly increase how quickly we can get events out the door! Rather than have dedicated days with a specific "quota" as we did before, we aim to have each reviewer tackle up to 20 events over the course of a week and 1 comment follow-up every 2 days to keep things more flexible.

In the end, we're all here to play Beyblade, run fun events, and keep our community strong. Event reviewers are the kind of people that want to make sure that keeps happening.

If you're interested in joining the Event Review Team, you can apply and learn more here:

Thank you in advance for your support and care for the hobby we all love!

What sort of time commitment would we be looking at here? What is the average amount of time one would need to be able to review 20 events and follow up through the week?
Is there a timeline when we should hear back after submitting the application?

Hey, sorry for the late reply to this. Basically, I would say the average time commitment that can be expected would be a couple of hours. Generally, if the team is caught up, potentially less, but in times where we are a little backlogged, a bit more. Also, the more experienced one gets at the process, the faster one can get through the submissions.

Hello, as of right now, I can't give an exact number. I believe only those accepted will also be contacted. Because of low resources and time restraints, a member of the team has not been able to look at these applications as much as we would like the past couple of weeks. If we have anything to share regarding your application, we will contact you as soon as we can. Thanks!
