Every once in a while I write small random stories, in this thread I will share some of them with all of you, and update this OP as I add more.
For now I shall just start with this one.

“Ah.. what a fine night; The air is crisp, the moon is out.. And is that a few stars I see out tonight? Huh, that is rather rare in a city like this,” Samuel said, as he stepped out of a cab, just half a block away from the hotel that his school booked for a party at. “This feels like a perfect night!”
He paid the driver and started walking along the downtown street towards the hotel, admiring his “reverse” tuxedo. “Nobody will expect to see me wearing something like this,” He thought. “A white tuxedo, with a black dress shirt.. And matching top hat and cane to go along?.. wait.. what if i am overdressed?!” After reaching the hotel, he paced back and forth, nervous that he overdressed for this, and that he will look like an carp.
“alright.. lets do it.. enough of this cowardice.” He entered the hotel, and walked towards the ballroom.
Samuel sighed, with relief, as he scanned the opulently decorated ballroom; people everywhere dressed up in various dresses and suits, and many with highly decorated masks.
“There he is! Now didn’t i tell you that Sam here would be wearing something like this?” A young man in a simple business suit said, as he approached Sam with a small group of similarly dressed guys. “Hey, You bet he would show up less well dressed than me, now pay up.”
“Did you just make a 20 off of my tux?” Laughed Sam, as he joined his friends. “So how about i get you guys some drinks eh?”
Samuel started walking with his friends towards the bar, again looking through the crowd.. Then he saw her, his legs stopped, his heart skipped a beat. It was as if everyone at the party had disappeared, as if the only light was a single spotlight beaming down on her. She one person at the party he didn’t recognize, and at that moment the only person he wanted to know. Her dress was of black silk, her dark hair holds a white lily in a loose bun, her eyes, her lips, everything about her was beautiful.
He grabbed the arm of one of his friends, and turned him towards the other direction, and told the rest they would meet them at the bar. “I need to know who that girl is,” He said, his dark brown eyes filled with determination.
“Who?”
“Her,” said Samuel, gesturing towards the girl, “The one in the black silk dress.”
“Oh, well.. i have no clue,” said the friend, rather confused. “I know everyone at this school, and i have never seen her. So I guess you are going to have to do this the old fashioned way and just ask her.”
Sam nodded in agreement to his friend, and started walking up to her. Each footstep feeling like an eternity.
“Hello” he said, with his most charming smile, and a slight bow, “Who might you be? I don’t quite recognize you.”
“My name is none of your concern,” she said coldly, “and i don’t go here.”
“Then why are you here?” Samuel replied.
“Boyfriend”
“So I guess that means that i shouldn’t ask you to dance with me.” Sam said, disappointed but still trying to stay cheery.
“Yes. now will you please leave me alone?” She finally asked, turning to give him the cold shoulder.
Sam turned around and started walking away, eventually finding a lone, empty seat in the corner of the room. After a few minutes of thinking and moaping, another one of his friends came up to him and asked him what was wrong.
“I don’t know man. I just need a drink.” he answered. His friend looked quickly from side to side, and then handed Sam a flask, that he kept in his jacket.
“Now don’t drink too much, they need you on stage in 5, otherwise enjoy mate.”
“Aye thanks for the heads up.” Samuel drank down half of the flask, the whiskey burning his throat, and then brushed himself off before heading towards the stage.
“So what am i doing here? I don't remember having a speech.” sam said, a bit confused and slightly tipsy, as he walked backstage .
“You are Samuel right?” Said one of the backstage workers.
“Yes.”
“You don't remember? You are singing Digital Love in one! Please tell me you at least practiced for this”
“Ahh it is coming back to me now, yeah i know how the song goes. So should i go on now then?”
“Yes yes, go now.”
The bass player introduced Sam, there was a light applaud from the crowd as Sam walked up on stage and to the mic. Then the music started.
Samuel scanned the dancing crowd, pleased with his singing, then he saw her again. How could he not, standing there in her elegant black dress, the only one there who was not dancing. In fact she looked a bit sad.
He continued to watch her, curious to what was wrong. A guy walked up to her, one of the more sleezy douchebags at the school. He tried to kiss her, she slapped him in the face and started walking towards the exit.
At this point Sam was almost done singing, and the guitar solo was about to start. The second the guitar solo started, he jumped off the stage, and stumbled through the crowd towards her; almost tripping over his own feet and a couple of other people, he finally reached her.
“Hey,” he said as he stopped her. “Can you just leave me alone?” She said, her eyes watering up a bit. “I am in no mood for this, if you couldn't tell..” Then she started walking more.
“Wait.. just here me out. Right now you look like you need someone to talk to,” he said, concerned. “Please, allow me to buy you just one drink, we will find a nice quit spot to sit, and we can just talk. I'm not going to allow a beautiful girl like you leave a party like this all sad.”
She eyed him, seeing if she could trust him; She decided he was honest enough, and replied “fine.. but only one drink.”
Samuel gave her a smiled and brought her to the bar, and ordered their drinks; nothing fancy, just a couple bottles of beer. They walked outside, and found a nice table to sit down at.
“So what happened?” Samuel asked. “I saw you slap that guy.. Chad, right?”
“Yes.. He is-was my boyfriend.” She replied with a sigh. “He brought me here, and then abandoned me to go feel up a bunch of other girls.”
“Oh wow.. What an carp!” Said Sm, a bit pissed. “I always knew he was sleazy, but not this sleazy.”
She took a large gulp of her beer, and simply said. “Yep, carp him.”
They continued to talk, and drink their beers, the girl even agreed to a second drink. After a couple hours, the girl got up and told Sam that it was time she went home, Samuel said he would walk her to a cab.
“My name is Samuel, by the way.”
“Well, Samuel, I want to thank you for tonight. Her, let me give you my number, maybe we will hang out again some time.” They exchanged numbers as Sam waved down a taxi. “Again, thank you.” She gave him a quick peck on the cheek, and stepped into the cab.
Sam Stood there, Smiling up towards the stars, a warm feeling went throughout his whole body; though wether it was from her kiss or the alcohol, he could not tell, but he decided to believe it was from her kiss.
Then his smile left as he realized, “I didn't get her name”
